Roth, by the way, could still be traded by the Oct. 20 deadline. Players on the reserve list, injured reserve or the physically unable to perform list may not be traded, Signora confirmed, but there's nothing to stop the Dolphins from activating Roth earlier in the day next Tuesday and still dealing him by the 4 p.m. deadline.

... i've often thought we'd trade roth this season... if it's bound to happen we'll see on oct.20th, precisely, i guess !
 
Can you guys imagine seeing an ESPN update on Oct. 20th "The Miami Dolphins have traded Matt Roth and a 2nd rd pick to the Kansas City Chiefs for Dwayne Bowe".
 
That would kinda suck for our Run Defense. I mean, he's in his prime and just starting to get his feet settled in at OLB. That said, Moses may turn out to be even better and more complete.

Is Bowe worth Roth and a 2nd? I doubt Parcells would go for that.
 
kansas wont except anything less than a 1st for bowe. If they deal bowe, they are essentially giving up on the season.

how so ? our run defence has been more than reliable this year and roth wasn't a part of it...

I do realize that if jason taylor goes down, we're probably starting moses... but hey if we can get something good for roth, i don't think this would stop ireland from making a deal
 
Roth won't be traded ... come on guys... The Dolphins have to over the hill OLB's in Taylor and Porter, who just so happen to be dinged up ... while both have made a plays throughout the season so far, NEITHER have been spectacular... Roth is 6-7 years younger than both of them and is a proven commodity in the run game... and by the way he is better than both of them at that as well ... i wouldn't want to trade Roth and than have to find an unproven replacement after JT or Porter are on the sidelines with an injury ... it just doesn't make any sense to me.... and another thing keeping roth also diminishes the need to draft an OLB in the 1st round ... so the team can concentrate on the WR and TE position early in the draft ... YA YA YA .. i know if we trade Roth for Bowe we wouldn't need to draft a WR in round #1 ... but remember Trading for Bowe will cost the F/O draft picks ... and thats a no no... in their eyes.... so IMO Roth is here to stay for many reason, beyond all the fans cries for him to be traded...
 
guys I just saw on espn that t.o has treaded to the bears, for a 4th. marrimen(sp) to the pats for a 2nd. don't kill me but bowe went for 2nd and a 4th to who I don't know just missed it
