Roth choice due to that Saban/Ferentz/Belichick connection right?

Smart, intense player no doubt. I'm sure Kirk Ferentz gave Nick a glowing review of his ex-player. I think we're just a bit bummed about not filling a bigger need currently in round two, but you can't doubt that the guy could play for us at this next level right?

Personally, I like the pick, it gets us younger overall on the front seven. Combined with Will Poole and we have two young guys who should step up and contribute quite a bit. I would expect a S or perhaps a C in round 3 but who knows. Perhaps a project qb?

With safety our biggest defensive need and pool and bullocks gone getting younger up front isn't a bad thing, i'd have probably gone O-Line myself but Roth could have gone 15-20 spots higher and is an excellent pickup at this point
