According to Fox Sports in Philadelphia, the Eagles are hinting at a trade, possibly to bolster their LB corps, after the Raiders embarrassed them in Oakland 13-9. The concern is around the health of LB Omar Gaither (foot injury) as well as the lackluster performance of Jeremiah Trotter. Untested rookie Moise Fokou is the only backup.

Dolphin LB Matt Roth, who has spent the season on injured reserve with a mysterious groin ailment, could be available at the right price. Given the depth at OLB with Joey Porter, Jason Taylor, Cameron Wake, and Charlie Anderson, it will be tough for Roth to get snaps. Furthermore, the Dolphins will have to release someone if they intended to activate him from IR.

Roth is in the final year of his contract. Some have speculated that Roth is faking an injury, holding out for a new contract.

The trade deadline is Tuesday, October 20 at 4pm ET.

Gaither and Trotter are both MLBs. Roth wouldn't seem to help them a whole lot.

I hope so.. we dont need roth anymore.. What is he worth, id say a 3rd

everyone is so quick to get rid of Roth, do we not remember how old taylor and porter are?

but either way this article is based on absolutely nothing... god i hate the random speculation around the trade deadline... people just conjure up a scenario and decide to post it as if there is some inside scoop to it...

The good news is we only have one more day of this and it is over for awhile!!!!!!!!!

WR Reggie Brown, 6'1" 28yo, 2nd round pick, almost 800 yds last year. Haven't seen too much of him. Is he worth an even up trade? I know, could be crap.. just asking

well if the guy is really "faking an injury" then we don't need him

They might want to move Kevin Curtis now that Maclin is establishing himself.

no body is faking an injury... anyone who thinks thats the case is insane...

faking an injury just lowers his stock because hes not on the field producing... its not like hes been an all pro player and now not to get hurt hes faking an injury because he wants a huge contract... hes a role player who has to play for his contract and being on the sidelines only hurts him

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't Brown the player Philly selected with the 2nd rounder that Miami sent them for AJ Feeley?

Roth for a 3rd round pick. DO IT.

I d trade WR turner , lb matt roth for chris Chambers then make that trade for cribbs .
