ROTO: Dolphins 1st rd rookie WR Parker has been watching old Louisville highlights to

I want to see it before I say anything... But I would bet that that quote was made as something that should be laughed at and the writer just published it as a serious statement.... Either way, its a good thing... He`s looking at tape... He's not smoking weed on a boat with chiks flashing gang signs...

Talk about taking a comment and running with it. This should be a non story

Among rookies who haven’t missed multiple games because of injuries, the Dolphins’ DeVante Parker has played fewer snaps (110) than only two other first-round picks: Cleveland guard/center Cam Irving (103) and Arizona offensive tackle DJ Humphries (none).

And Parker, who didn’t play at all Sunday according to nfl.com’s game book, said it’s easy to feel in the dumps because of his predicament these days, so much so that he has begun watching tapes of great catches he made at Louisville.

The point?

“To remind myself I can still make plays like that,” he said.

He should be looking at NFL tape, not college tape.

As a receiver that is the probably one of the worst things he can do. In college he played mainly vs inferior talent at CB. In college your routes don't need to be as crisp, you can freelance a little more and it is easier for a WR to look like a world beater.

Watching old film like that is akin to Al Bundy putting back on his Polk High letterman jacket. It serves no purpose other than to say that was as good as it will get for him ans he wishes to back in those days.

It is none thing to reflect back it is another to watch and hope for answers. Either you have it or you don't but we will never know until he is out there for any significant amount of time.

Only the Dolphins draft great first round talent and never play them. He will probably turn into a depressed soon dion Jordan pt 2

Groan....

The kid has so much upside, but he has been injured and unable to beat out guys who are trending upward. Uphill battle for him...feel for the kid, but this is what happens sometime when you go with BPA in a position that is not a need...sometime it works out and others (Jordan and now Parker) they get little playing time.

He looked pretty good on that long catch a couple of games ago that was negated by a penalty. He blew by the cb and hauled in a great throw. I would like to see more of that.

I think his foot is still bothering him, that is the biggest issue.

At the time, it absolutely was a need though. We had Landry, old man Jennings (who hasn't lived up to the hype), Stills (product of Brees? Reasonable question, though I'm a fan), and Matthews, who has never done anything. Certainly a need.

I also have zero reason to have faith in the coaches' decisions not to get him on the field when he has been healthy, particularly in areas that we need him most and he has clearly been successful in, such as the redzone.

He will bust. Terrible pick.

Is it hard to type with your fingers crossed like that?

even when he is on the field ryan doesnt go to him. i was at the titans game and parker ran a post and was wide open for a would be td and ryan forced it underneath

If he's healthy enough to be active, we should work him in for some snaps and get him some targets (and hence catches) to develop his confidence.

It's imperative that he put some good things on tape headed into the offseason so he has momentum and feels good.
