I think we need to resign Clabo, for the depth mainly. He was okay in the latter part of last year

What's Jason Fox's health situation? He's still young at 25 and should come cheap. He had played well in the preseason last year for Detriot and won the starting RT job only to go down in the first game of the year. He did play in about half the Lion's games starting three. I think he'd be worth a look as a fallback option/depth, if he has any chance of staying injury free. At least in college he was athletic as an OT, and should be a scheme fit.

FB John Kuhn
RT David Stewart
TE Owen Daniels
RB Knowshon Moreno
RB Maurice Jones-Drew
WR Sidney Rice
OG Uche Nwaneri
RB LeGarrette Blount
OG Travelle Wharton
OG Wade Smith
DT Pat Sims
OG Davin Joseph
MLB Pat Angerer

all are worth a look

He's fine and ready to go.

You're right, the question is durability. If he can stop getting injured, he's a solid RT with huge upside like you said because of his age. Wouldn't see why he wouldn't want to get out of Detroit and live in Miami, for lots of reasons.

I wouldn't be surprised if that happened.

Agreed with most on the your list for at least inquiry or maybe they have already at least made a few phone calls. Surprised Daniels hasnt signed yet.

Id say the majority of the OL on that list are better than what we currently have on the right side.

I would like to add a swing tackle type whether it be Charles Brown or someone else.

Looking at that list it seems we overpaid about 10 mil for corn. The rest of the best stalks in the crop got around 10 mil less with their 5 year deals.

Cover Two: Best/Worst FA signings

Wow Oakland signed 3 tackles

I thought of this SI article when you mentioned Oakland's linemen. I remembered seeing Penn's name. Comes under the category of worst free agent signings. Not sure why, didn't read more about it.

DF: Donald Penn, LT, Raiders

Sorry to keep picking on your team, Raiders fans… but unless this is a lowball one-year deal, it’s pretty bad. Penn was released by Tampa Bay after the Bucs signed former Bengals pass-blocking stalwart Anthony Collins, and for good reason — only William Beatty of the Giants gave up more sacks than Penn in 2013 (12). Penn’s pass protection liabilities were hidden from plain sight when Josh Freeman ran a heavy roll-right offense and pressure was deflected away from the left tackle position on a high number of plays. But with rookie quarterback Mike Glennon taking the majority of snaps last season, Penn turned out to be what some thought he was. And coming on the heels of Oakland’s abortive Rodger Saffold deal, the Penn signing seems like a desperation move and nothing else.

Interest in Blount is heating up.

He has a meeting with the Steelers tomorrow, and there's a good chance he doesn't leave. Now today, they're saying the Ravens are also interested. New England better wrap him soon if they want to keep him.

Not sure why Miami isn't showing more interest, but then again, a RB like Moreno could do so much more for us. Short yardage, maybe we can just pick up a fullback.
