The Palm Beach Post "keep(s) hearing" the Dolphins will target Oklahoma LT Lane Johnson with their first pick, but that landing him would require trading up.

With three top-54 picks and five in the first 82, Miami has more than enough ammo to make a move. The Fins have hinted at big draft plans, and we'd expect GM Jeff Ireland to aggressively explore trades. Johnson could go as high as No. 5 to the Lions, so Ireland would have to put together a serious package. Ireland seems to be GMing for his job this offseason, so anything is possible.

I really don't think he will be there @ 12 but if he is I would be on board.

Not a fan of losing a second or third to move up a few spots for this guy i would be extremely disappointed!

I know Jeff got man crushes on corn fed lineman!

I think there's a chance I he could fall to 12... At least I hope he does.

screw trading away a second rounder and more for Lane johnson

Of course this will happen. We are talking about Ireland, right?

If Winston is not signed or trade for Albert is not done then that is your number 1 priority going into the draft. There is only a few LTs in this draft and lots of CBs, Ss, DTs, DEs, WRs, RBs thruout the draft.

Thus the gospel according to Ireland.

Johnathan Martin will start at LT. If we don't sign Winston, then John Jerry starts at RT. We trade down to Clevelands pick and select Ziggy Ansah. He will terrorize Tom Brady for the rest of his career.

Jeff Ireland is in charge. Deal with it.

wtf ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT Doesnt change the fact that I dont want to trade up for this guy lol Im all for ireland doing things I consider good as a fan

well Ireland has little history of trading up in 1st round so who knows. Now you can say his trade up for Danial Thomas was quite stupid or possibly his trade down for Odrick passing up some damn good prospects but nothing in Ireland's history tells me he is moving up that far in first

It's not the trade up...but the fact he is an LT. Ireland won't be able to resist...especially if we don't get Winston. He will almost have to do it...
