After watching the Senior Bowl, I came to the conclusion of who I'd like our top two picks to be. I'm telling you right now that they're back to back defensive picks. Pick 1 is a pretty popular safe pick but #2, I've been following for a while but the Senior Bowl performance locked it up.

#1 V. Hargreaves DB - Blah blah blah you've heard it a hundred times, we need a DB badly and Grimes isn't getting any younger. We need to address this position in the first.

#2 Kentrell Brothers MLB - This kid is a great prototypical inside LB. I've seen him play lights out in game footage but I was curious as to how he performs against top level talent @ the Senior Bowl. The kid was seating the edge, tackling the RB in the backfield 1on1, and he's was always around the ball. I really think he could start week 1 on the inside.

These picks are assuming we address the guard position in free agency. These picks solve two needs (lol that's never the case with our dolphins).

Don't kill me guys but any thoughts?

If Myles Jack or Jalen Ramsey isn't there in round one, that's exactly what I'd do.

I would be happy with both of those picks.

I would look at another LB in the top 4 and a couple of OL 5th and beyond.

that would be 2 really good picks, I don't know if I see Brothers making it back to us in the 2nd with Chiefs, Bears, Cowboys etc picking in front of us. I also think Myles Jack is a real possibility at 8.

As long as Miami has addressed/maintained the pass rush via FA I'm okay with this draft although I still think Apple will be a better pro.

Few could argue with Hargreaves in the first. Though if Myles Jack is there I would take him over Hargreaves. That said the odds that both are there at 8 are probably nil.

In the second round, if he is there, I would take Cody Whitehair. Though he seems to be having a very good draft season so far so it wouldn't surprise me if he ends up being a late first rounder.

Jack and Whitehair get my vote.

I would be very happy with Hargreaves and Brothers 1-2.

I'm guessing a bit on free agency, but looking at whose out there my feeling is it will be difficult to fill needs at linebacker. Miami may have an edge at corner with new DC Vance Joseph. My guess is the Dolphin find stopgaps at corner and offensive line.

So if that happens my 1-2 would be A'Shawn Robinson and Kentrell Brothers. Robinson would do for Suh what nobody could do last year, giving him a legit sidekick who can dominate in his own right. Robinson has huge upside and is said to be a leader in the clubhouse.

The remainder of the draft could be used for corner, offensive line and more linebackers.

I agree with the OP's strategy. Hargreaves in the first and the best remaining MLB in the 2nd. This is the best MLB talent in the draft in years. Somebody who can play will fall.

Or, you could at Kirkland or Tretola from Arkansas on day 2.

I'd rather go Stanley than Robinson at #8. My question is; Could Stanley play OG until he's ready to take over for Albert full time?

If Jack and Ramsey are gone....How about this for the first 3 rounds?

1) Hargreaves
2) Whitehair
3) Scooby Wright

Thats 3 big holes filled....with Whitehair having left tackle experience as well in a pinch....
He may rise into round one though.

I think he could and that's a move that would make sense, although I don't think it would make a lot of fans happy.

Alexander in 1st and Floyd in the 2nd. Solves two immediate needs right away. With a deep OT/OL class we can afford to draft later on

I'm still not sold on any of the said first round CB's but Floyd in the second is a steal.

Myles Jack in round 1 - He is an elite player...the kind of guy you don't pass up one. Best cover backer in the draft by far and potentially would be the answer to Gronk.

Kendall Fuller in round 2 - Hurt last season, but going back to his sophomore year...he was looking like a 1st round talent. Could sure up one of the CB positions
