Roy Williams on the block?

gettin my hopes up again? who knows if this is true, but i would throw the kitchen sink at them to get roy. if we could away with a first and a second i would be happy with that.

a legit #1, ginn at #2, and bess in the slot would work for years. we need a legit #1 so bad i'm nervous about spending another high draft pick on a WR (although crabtree looks pretty damn good) because you just never know. you know with roy. there is no question. and he's only 26 years old - 10 years of a dominant #1.

I would love to have Roy Williams here at the right price, we can't trade everything for one guy though

Come on now..A first + a second..
Are we also getting barrels of oil with that trade?
A 1st and 2nd = too much..

I don't see why we would spend a 1st on Roy. What did Moss get traded for? What did Owens get traded for? We have 2 seconds.. I would definately give up one of them, but no way would I give up a 1st for Roy.

I'd love to get Roy Williams. However, I don't think BP will break the bank for him, and several other teams that have great playoff hopes for this year will certainly be more inclined to overspend (I would add Seattle, Cleveland, Tampa and Tennessee to the list given by PFT).

1st and a 2nd are you out of your mind???

The guy is gonna be a FA next season. We will not be trading for him... especially now that Matt Millen is gone.

Woulkd rather take Boldin if we had any realistic chance of getting either one

I agree that we could use an injection of talent at the wide receiver position, but I just don't think that Williams is a Parcells guy, especially in terms of his injury proneness. He's only played 16 games in 1 of his first 4 seasons (played in just 12 games last year).

Who knows...I guess it could happen if the price is right.

This is a good point.

If Owens went for a 2nd and Moss for a 4th, I would have to believe that Roy could be secured for a third-rounder at worst.

yes i know a first and a second is a whole lot - and i hate trading draft picks more than anyone. but this guy is amazing. do you guys realize how vital it is for us to have a real #1 receiver when it comes time for henne to be under center? he has to have one. he will not succeed on this team without one. just won't happen.

i think they will want more than a first for this guy. but then again it is the lions, so...

how old were they when that happened? how much baggage did they bring to the table with them? what happened with each of them the year before they were traded?

a first rounder would be nice. a second would be a dream. a third is just lunacy at every level. would be amazing, but not gonna happen.

as far as waiting until he's a FA - if he goes on the trade block and is gone before then it doesn't do us a lot of good.

we need to make this move right now and get him in here while we r on a bye week.he could pick up some of the offense.this would be a godsend and we have the money to give him a contract and make him happy...
