So annoying. A hot topic is how improved the afc east is and how jets/bills/phins are trying to catch the pats but "none of them have a qb". I've heard at least 10 times this week on sports radio something along the lines of "who knows about tannehill". "Yea the afc east is improved but you have 2 unproven guys in geno and Ej Manuel, 2 journeymen in Fitzpatrick and cassell, and who knows what you got with tannehill". Lol. Cracks me up. I think all these guys would be shocked to see the #s tannehill put up last year. But 7-9 8-8 8-8 is all anybody sees.

Some of our own posters still aren't sold on him, so how do you expect the national media to be. he isnt tom brady but I would group him with a guy like Joe Flacco no problem.

He's better than our garbage but he's closer to our garbage than to Brady. None of us have a proven winner at QB outside of NE. win some games late, get into postseason or do everything he can to get into postseason(if he was losing big games 30-27 people would cut more slack) and that talk will go away.

Talking heads need something to talk about and since the AFC East has been the most active as far as moves and trades they're going to talk about it...even if they are grossly uninformed. Not one of them know much beyond the Pats in this division.

In the end, the record is all that matters....it's what gets you to the post season. I love Tanney, but there's still times he leaves me scratching my head.

Agree w Cszonked and Junc. These guys don't watch him play. They just see the stats - which lets be honest - who cares how many yards you pass for in today's NFL if you aren't winning playoff games. RT took a huge step last year - we all saw it. And he's not even close to garbage. But he has to take another step - and it's not about stats or mechanics anymore - it's about the intangibles - finding ways to help win important games. When he can do that consistently, he will be considered a top 10 QB by the national media. But then again who cares what they think. I want to see him take that step for US!

The team has folded in just about every big situation. . . Whether it be defensively in games against the Lions, Packers and Broncos. . . or offensively against the Bills and Jets in 2013... Or the Ravens and Jets in 2014. He is the Qb and in 3 years his record is 22-25. . . he is not going to get national respect until the team wins big games and enters the playoffs. When it happens, he will get most of the recognition. It is a 2way street.

If Tannehill played on say... Baltimore (one of the media's favorite teams to blow) with his numbers and year-to-year improvement, there would be no shortage of media douchebags lining up to offer falatio. But since he plays for the Dolphins, we get bull**** like what you're talking about. I hear it up here with the NY media. Rest assured though all the mindless toolbox Jet fans up here who spew their bull**** about Tannehill would be FALLING ALL OVER THEMSELVES to sign him if he hit the open market today.

"who knows about tannehill"

Seems like a fair assessment to me. I watch him play more than the TV guys and Im not sure exactly what he is capable of being. So far he hasn't shown anything special.

if he played in Baltimore and failed late in seasons there he'd be viewed the same just as if he stepped up late he'd be viewed very positively around the league in Miami. He has improved, he's a decent QB but needs to take that next step. Respect is earned.

Let me just say the Bills or Jets would take him in a ny minute if available. He's not Brady but sure as hell not Fitzpatrick.

I kind of like it this way, it's cool to have a secret in my back pocket and listen to people run their mouths, knowing that sooner or later they'll have to eat their words. Especially when the people are the NFL know-it-all talking heads.

he's better than our QBs but that isn't saying a heck of a lot.

The reality is the majority of people around the league are still lukewarm at best on Tannehill.

You have to win to get respect. Tannehill has been a tease.
