RT17 set career highs in completion % (67.1), passer rating (93.5) & Y/A (7.7).

The Y/A was such an obvious improvement this year. His deep ball is exciting to watch now.

More important than these stats, you saw a QB that started to get comfortable with his movement inside the pocket and started to improvise just enough to throw opposing defenses off and have them respect the run game.

Teams would focus in on Jay and make Ryan beat them . . . that was a fatal mistake in 2016.

It's a big loss to what is obviously a tough SOB, but an even better person. Wish 17 the best in his recovery.
 
He's improved SO much - really proud of him. One of the nicest, most gracious people I've ever met. I'm devastated for him. But he'll be back and at the helm of this team for a long time.
 
His improved play this year, be it his better footwork or being encouraged to break from the pocket, has far exceeded the stat line and is helping this team in the win column.

Dude is the man, glad he got to expose so many h8rs this year too, fine season.
 
Where are all the people that called Tannehill the 4th best QB in the AFCE? Tyrod Taylor and Fitz might not finish the season as starters with their teams.
