RUMOR: Brandon Marshall Trade?

Also there is a lot of rumors that even if we get a new coach we will still keep Ireland. So yes let's trade a top 10 receiver for draft picks and let Ireland strike out with those picks. Some of you fans are just so stupid. You complain about how Ireland can't draft but you still want to trade our best receiver for picks.

Marshall is such a toxic asset, nobody is trading for him btw.

It should have "closed" the doors on them. I don't think anyone is willing to do that now based on the returns Dallas got...and quite frankly...what we are getting.
Yeah, it should. Unfortunately, it didn't close the door on them since our trade came after the Williams debacle. I honestly don't want Marshall to be part of our next phase. I'm tired of him and get the feeling it will only get worse. We won't get equal value for what we gave, but I wouldn't want to go lower than a 3rd. Because I suspect there's a team out there that values his theoretical value without realizing there's no actual value.

Calling a top 3 WR just before he came to a tema that is known for killing players careers a joke Or an underachiever is just stupid. No one succeeds in Miami why are you guys surprised? It's OUR system mot the players thats broken.

I'd take anything the 49ers offered because he could be gone for nothing before next season and he's simply not worth the money or the hassle. Hell I'd trade Marshall for Ted Ginn straight up

I don't think there is anything in this rumor though. Firstly, Marshall is the headline move of the Ireland era. To admit that it was an epic fail would be the end for Ireland and would probably say that someone else is calling the shots. Secondly, I credit the 49ers front office to be smarter than this

No way anyone is giving a first or a second for him. We would be lucky to get a sixth for a guy who leads the leagues in drops.....oh and 3 drops for touchdown.

This is the same "source" that was DEAD wrong about Palmer being traded to Miami 2 weeks ago or so.

It's BS

A 2nd or higher, and its so long Marshall.

I was pleased when we traded for him, but it hasnt worked out. The guy cannot catch passes in the endzone and has a few other key drops along the way. He's not terrible, but he isnt the "brandon marshall" I hoped he would be.

Fans whined for a dominate #1 for years. The Dolphins go out and get one and now you guys just want to dump him? Trading him makes ZERO sense.

why is it every time we get a decent player, someone here wants to trade him for picks. If you haven't noticed our drafting the past few years is questionable at best. This is why we are where we are at, we trade away talent and don't draft anyone to replace it. ALL we need is someone who gets Marshall more involved and someone who can get him the ball, (He also needs to hold on to a few more catches) that simple. The more decent players we trade away for pics, the longer it will take to get back on top. I don't know about you guys but I'm getting tired of waiting. This is getting old

I don't claim to know what another team is willing to offer, but unless there is at least a 1st involved this doesn't make sense. Why created another hole that we need to fill? Do we really want to bring our franchise QB with Oline and WR deficiencies?

Definitely consider this IF and only IF a team is willing to overpay for him.

Go for broke....

K.Dansby to NE for a 2nd (they usually have 12 of them anyways!)
B.Marshal to SF for a 2nd
R.Bush to Pitts for a 4th
C.Wake and J.Taylor to Houston for a 1st (I know you'll say never in a million years but Houston has their 1 chance with Manning gone and a great offense, hit'em when their desparate!!!!)

New regime with plenty of opportunities!

you trade him for less than a 2nd round pick you're getting hozed...to me a 2nd not worth it either...you make bess hartline and gates your top 3 wrs and you are right back in the same boat next year making a #1 wr a must have priority

so then you need to get a qb first and foremost and find a #1 wr talent in the same offseason...good luck...you're better to keep marshall one more year imo and trade him next year if necessary after you've drafted your qb of the future...you never know marshall and said qb could hit it off and things change...could not also
