Sources tell the Miami Herald the Dolphins have a first-round grade on Tennessee OT Ja'Wuan James.
It's interesting because teams are typically selective with first-round grades, generally assigning only 20 or so of them each year, and James has generated scant buzz among draftniks. At 6-foot-6, 311 with 35-inch arms, James has ideal NFL left tackle build but played right tackle at Tennessee. He would be a Week 1 starter at right tackle in Miami, bookending LT Branden Albert.
Don't know what to think. I honestly don't know much about the guy. but first round?

Interesting.... Hope he isn't the pick at 19 though.. But if he were to become an all pro RT (or LT later) I doubt anyone would complain

Just remember I called this a week ago.. But I had him going #50..

Miami is gonna take Zack Martin at #19 and move up for Jawuan James at the end of the first. I could be wrong, but I feel there is a very strong chance of this happening......

Well, that would definitely solve the offensive line issue, but I don't see that happening. If Miami takes Martin at #19, I think the team has to view him as a RT. If that's the case, I would think the Dolphins would wait to get a guard later in the draft. I'm still hoping for a difference maker in the 1st, but I wouldn't be opposed to Martin or Lewan if one of those guys drop.

I am thinking, he is more likely to be our 2nd round target. A first round grade doesn't mean he will be drafted in the first round.

Smokescreen. Have they given Mosely a first round grade yet.

Possible. Although Mark Dominik came out earlier this week and said James is a 1st rnd lock and had the same 5 1st rounders as Miami reportedly does. Dominiks views are as close as we'll get to Hickey's views at this point imo. Coincidence? Smokescreen? who really knows..

You must not visit Finheaven much? No player is safe from being the target of complaining fans here.

How do they know that Miami has a first round grade on him? If this is true then somebody is talking within the organization or if untrue, someone is deliberately leaking it as a smokescreen. Maybe the Miami Herald should just quote the name of the leaker and put his/her photo in the article. The Miami Herald needs to do a better job of exposing the rats in the organization and if it comes out as Hickey, then there is a good chance that it is a smokescreen and we know to ignore it.
This would never happen in New England. Belichick would have his best men running a torture chamber to identify the rat. (It's OK though, Dick Cheney and Bob Rumsfeld would approve the method. Belichick wouldn't be allowed to do it himself).

At this time of year there is so much bull floating around that its really crazy to speculate what rnd that player is projected in the Phins draft board.

Yeah, that seems like a smokescreen. If he goes in the first, it'll be in the very late first.

I am starting to get very tired of people claiming we are interesting in massively reaching on second round tackles in the mid first round. First it was Moses, then Kouandjio, and now James...
