RUMORS FLY OF RODGERS FOR MOSS
Word has reached PFT world headquarters of a rumored trade that would send Oakland Raiders receiver Randy Moss to the Green Bay Packers for quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
We're told that the Raiders want a first-round pick for Moss, and that the Packers have countered with an offer of Rodgers, who was Green Bay's first round pick in the 2005 draft.
Stay tuned. Though we never would have imagined that Moss and Packers quarterback Brett Favre could coexist, it looks like this one could indeed be going down.

So if Aaron Rodgers would become a Raider, would the Raiders pick Calvin Johnson. What affect would this have on the draft.

A PFT rumor is much different than something actually occuring.[/admin]

a very big one... that would be interesting... i bet the packers then draft Stanton with their first rounder... or could Quinn slip like rodgers did.. haha just joking.

I think in this situation it has to be Calvin. If they keep Moss rumor has it that they have not contacted Russell or Quinn at all. In that case I could possibly see them taking Adrian Peterson.

it means oakland wouldn't take a QB, increasing the chance that Quinn or Russell fall to #9!!!!!!

So they sit Rodgers for 2 years and he gains no experience. Now they want a guy who wiped his a$$ on the goalpost?

Who succeed Farve? Another rookie?

Jokers

It'd be a good trade for both teams. CJ could be a Raider, and Favre gets a top flight WR to help him for one last run.

WoW, talkabout screwing up everbodys draft boards

This rumor is just rediculous! So you're telling me that GB is willing to give up their future starting QB once Brett retires (probably next year) for Moss who is such a ?? at this point in his career and might not stay more than one/two seasons anyway. Not to mention Moss is one of the most hated players in the GB area. It would kind of be like us bringing in Tom Brady or Vrabel onto the Dolphins. These leaked rumors coming out of teams P.R. camps are just going overboard. I really am begining to think they are in some type of contest to see who can come up with the most outragous rumor that the public will buy into.

It's a little differant...I'd trade Daunte for T.Brady in
a second.

if that goes down then Jamarcus russel and quinn will be gone before the 9th pick overall that means we get Ginn or levi brown I love it hopefully this trade can occur

No idea what this does to our chances LOL, It could help Quinn fall to us but I think Cleveland takes Russell in this scenario and then does Tampa take Quinn? Hopefully not...

Wow, that WOULD be huge if true.

You would think this means they don't take Russell - instead going after Johnson or Thomas.

Not sure if it pushes Quinn more towards us at all, as you would think the Lions or Browns would then take Russell - in a sense, taking these three players off the board after three picks as many have predicted already.

I suppose Favre would be all over this as he needs to win - now - next year at the latest. And in the NFC, it could mean the difference between missing the playoffs again, and a first-round bye.

I just wish this would have any bearing on Quinn coming to us. Doesn't appear to on the surface. Now if the Vikings get Shaub, then that's a different story. THAT would help!

To get Brett w/ in possible striking distance of another title before he retires, I wouldn't put it past them at all!!

I just can't see Green Bay trading Rodgers for Moss. It all sounds just too desparate to believe. Brett will only be around 2 more seasons at best, how can you trade his successor? I don't buy it.
