"Mike Shula, who interviewed last weekend for the job, also is expected to land a prominent offensive staff position if the Dolphins hire Cameron or Gailey, the sources said.

Shula's hiring could affect the job status of offensive coordinator Mike Mularkey, whose unit finished ranked a disappointing 20th in the NFL last season."

Why would Gailey only come here for one year though?

Shula as QB coach and Garrett as OC.

My guess is both Cameron and Gailey woult call the plays themselves at the onset.

If M. Shula was expected to be hired as OC if Cameron lands the job, why would D. Shula be backing Gailey???....

PHINZ RULE!!!!

I hope not, maybe as a position coach but I would rather promote Garrett from within or have Cameron pick one himself

Easy to say now, but i honestly thought it would be...

HC-Cam
OC-M Shula
DC-Capers

This doesn't seem so bad but what happens to Garret? I don't think he'll like getting passed over. I don't even know why I care except everyone keeps saying that Garret is up and coming. <--Exactly what is that being based on? Someone please help me understand(not sarcasm but an honest request).

Garrett is as good as gone if he doesn't get promoted.

Cleveland seems like they're waiting for all this to play out.

No way he does that. If he gives up his HC position at Georgia Tech, he is planning on being here for a while. Remember, Wayne H. is a very loyal and honest owner. I really don't see him pulling a fast one on Chan after just one season. Besides, it is only specualtion, that Cowher comes out of retirement next season. He may decide he likes retirement or ,worse, he may not even be interested in Miami. No way Wayne banks on something that is not a sure thing.
