Rumor per league source, that the Dolphins and former Chiefs safety Tyrann Mathieu have been in talks about a deal.

I was reading or listening (can't remember where or which) that X will probably be restructured and see a big chunk of his salary turned into bonus. . This would knock a big chunk off the cap for this year.

Personally I like Rowe, and think his veteran leadership back there is good and he knows this defense. They still may restructure and give X a bump, but I'd rather pass on Mathieu and stick with Rowe.

You can't keep bumping all the money out. You'll turn the 2-3 year window in a 1 year window before it blows up.

The re-worked deal for Byron already eliminated any chance of saving significant money from cutting him after next season. The top 5 contracts on the books for 2023 (Hill, Jones, Howard, Ogbah and Baker) will be $95-96M on the cap. I can't include Armstead in that because his numbers aren't out yet.....and it doesn't include Wilkins.

If this is true, kinda feels like FA players talked and decided Miami was the place to try and win a ring over next few years.

Fantasy probably. But still, no problem attracting the talent.

I would rather the Tom Brady rumor be real myself. The Qb is the only thing Miami is missing. Possibly the online may be fixed but we’ll have to see how that goes.
Miami IS NOT missing anything at the QB position.

They drafted an above average NFL QB 2 years ago that is finally going to get the chance to play with competent coaching, above average O-line play, and suddenly one of the scariest bunch of skill position players in the entire league. And now we also have a high level back-up capable of winning games when needed.

Tua’s the least of my concerns and even most of his detractors are going to be forced to come around. Book it.

I think I lobbied harder and argued more than anyone else for this dude predraft..

Just thought he was so being so undervalued in the draft..would love to se e him in our uniform

Sign Mathieu, Wagner, Tretter, and trade for Deebo. Force Ross to donate $100 million of his wealth to get these guys on board.
