Rumor: Ravens to release J.Lewis

Jamison Hensley, of the Baltimore Sun, reports the Baltimore Ravens are expected to release RB Jamal Lewis before he is due a $5 million roster bonus in March. If the Ravens cut Lewis, they are expected to save $3.3 million in salary cap room.

Could this mean Baltimore goes RB in the 1st round in this years draft...and if so, who do you think their pick will be? Also, where/what team do you think JLew will end up?

They have Houston, Barlow and Washington.

With the Ravens' old O-line anyone would have put up those numbers, Lewis is a washed up has-been.

except Lewis isn't a number 1 back anymore. He can rarely get the extra yard he used to get. He needs to go to a zone blocking team.

It all depends on how much he demands and whos desperate! I can see Cleveland and then they go QB in the draft! I am thinking if they grab JLew its getting at a division rival and now you can explore a different position in the draft possibly Quinn!

He's too old though, maybe they'll still draft a RB for him to groom.
