I must stress rumor because I don't know how credible the source is. Andrew Burns is saying on twitter that a huge issue right now within the locker room sits on the feet of Mike Sherman. Again I don't know how reliable Burns is as a source but he is being credited as the first to guy to break that Jonathan Martin wasn't out with an illness, but here is what he said.

A lot of offensive players have not been happy with Mike Sherman. Reportedly before the prank that set Martin over the edge, he also had a heated exchange with Coach Sherman that resulted in Martin cussing out the OC.

Now Burns admits that he didn't know about the prank at first, but he said that the issues with Sherman go beyond Martin. Reportedly (shockingly) Mike Wallace is frustrated with how he's been used, AND TEAMMATES AGREE WITH WALLACE. Basically most of the offense is starting to question Mike Sherman's playcalling and a lot of them resent how he's handling the struggles.

Again, don't know how reliable Burns is as a source, but SEVERAL people are crediting him as the one to break the story that Jon Martin left the team

i agree with them. its blatant and in your face yes, the players are leaving plays on the field, but the logic behind calling these plays when he does is just all wrong. how you gonna abandon the run and say its because they were giving you different looks..**** their looks! what is our looks? what are our adjustments? where is the innovation, the accountability? if sherman is the issue and we keep him around, this season is done. wow, think about if hes here next year again...

Nothing like a bunch of millionaires throwing hissy fits...that mean ole coach!

They picked on Martin and he was ignored. The guys nickname is the big weirdo..there you go thats what they think of him.

Sherman could put them in better spots, but I find it funny that they'd be bitching about the offensive coordinator when we're what, third in the NFL in drops and turning the ball over like crazy?

Yeah, that's Mike Sherman's fault.

Jay Glazer said the blowup with Sherman and Martin is NOT true.

again I don't know how reliable Burns is, but a sound comparison seems to be right now Mike Martz in all his stops since St. Louis.

where does he say that? I don't see it on his twitter page. Did he say that on the radio?

I did not envision the team ****ting the bed like this. First Wallace complaining, then Pouncey getting that supeona (sp), now Martin losing his head over an immature prank. Pull this **** together NOW PLEASE Philbin.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but lack of execution and focus could be a symptom of not having any faith in Sherman or the plays he calls. I'm sure most of us have experienced poor leadership and understand the inevitable breakdown that can happen within the organization/team.

Granted, it's not professional, but it is human.

People respond to leadership; good and bad.

I thought Sherman's play calling the first half against the Pats was very good. Why they abandoned it is beyond me.
As far as what the players think I haven't a clue but lose 5 in a row with zero veteran leadership and we are toast sorry to say.

Human? No, that's childish.

IMO that's horse****. For the record I think the coaching staff has done a very poor job this season at actually putting players in position to play to their strengths, and Mike Wallace is being fit into a position he's really not suited for (STUBBORN), but the plays are there on the field. Make them.

What is this titty baby crap?

I agree it's not professional. And I've cried "make a play" for a few weeks. But I did say "human". I didn't say adult. "Childish" is human. But thanks for making such a vivid point and turning on a fellow fan. Does that qualify as "childish"?

Jonathan Martin is one of the most intelligent guys on the team. He is a product of Stanford University, one of the best universities in the world. The 'big weirdo" nickname is probably just a product acknowledging his genuine intellect. In all of his interviews, Jon is seriously focused and attempts to answer the questions intelligently. To display emotion and implode in front of the other players in the cafeteria is very disturbing. Something has triggered this behaviour and Coach Philbin needs to resolve it as soon as possible. Even if it affects his close friend and mentor, Mike Sherman.
