RUMOR: Sherman Not Popular with Offense

Sure it's a rumor but how can Sherman possibly be popular with this team? All the crap we heard about, "Well, Wallace is being double teamed" etc...I don't care. You find a way to get him the ball. Sherman is the same genius who ran Reggie Bush like a power back even though everyone knows his strengths are getting him out in space and catching the ball. I can't stand that guy.

Yeah, this is kind of why I'm running out of steam with Sherman. It's not so much the playcalling, it's the offensive philosophy. Didn't use our best weapon last year and not utilizing the QB's strengths this year. Not doing anything to help Mike Wallace, who admittedly is his own worst enemy, but could use some help.

run first throw second.... tannehill has way too many turnovers whether they are all on him is another question. we need to keep the ball out of tannehills hands. that means run first and quick throws for tannehill. they should stop going deep down the field tannehill has proven he has a below average deep ball. get the ball to miller on outside runs and mike wallace on screens regardless of whether the o line is built for screens #11 IS A PLAY MAKER MAKING BIG TIME $ AND NOT PRODUCING AND ITS NOT HIS FAULT. blame the coaches first. tannehill for lack of awareness second and the o line 3rd. tight ends have stepped up including egnew and unfort. sims is hurt. rbs have been playing better. its the little things...defense can only do so much

Isn't Sherman the guy who was berating and insulting players? Aside from his play calling which has been seriously questioned, I know I wouldn't react well or play to my abilities IF I had a someone yelling at me all the time. Passing when you should be running the football has never really worked well in the NFL unless you had a Dan Marino behind center. At the very least Sherman should take the fall for this and be on the chopping block first and foremost. Coyle would be in my cross-hairs as well, he seems to be in over his head.

Jonathan Martin is one of the most intelligent guys on the team. He is a product of Stanford University, one of the best universities in the world. The 'big weirdo" nickname is probably just a product acknowledging his genuine intellect. In all of his interviews, Jon is seriously focused and attempts to answer the questions intelligently. To display emotion and implode in front of the other players in the cafeteria is very disturbing. Something has triggered this behaviour and Coach Philbin needs to resolve it as soon as possible. Even if it affects his close friend and mentor, Mike Sherman.

Agreed. The downside with being too smart is you are always thinking. Its hard to just stop, react, & let instinct takeover. Martin's problem may be he has a hard time adapting. Sometimes, the real smart people are wired too tightly and require rigid order & structure.

Having said that, this regime may be undone by what brought down the previous one... Cronyism and inflexibility.
