Rumor

Has to be a good return if we decide to move off him before June 1st. I think it would take at least a 3rd.

Ya but we definitely got a pretty good deal at that time with a 3rd. But if IRC Ramsey kinds forced a deal to Miami. I mentioned a lot of what we get get back for Ramsey may be about what he wants, as in is trying to force a single team or is he fine with mutiple teams to get a bit of a bidding war.

good point re the June 1st issue. i forget all the details, but from a money issue, i thought it was better for us to do the trade after june 1. not sure why the dolphins or the theoretical buyer would jump the gun now to do it?

as usual the dolphins screwed themselves the way this whole thing went down. they dont have a ton of leverage. they need to hope there are two or three interested parties, because if there is only one interested party, they might not get more than a 4th at this point. their hands are now tied because it has become public that the relationship with the player broke somehow. i have no idea why the felt the need to even publicly say anything, they should have kept it under wraps and done their best to trade him. and they should have figured this all out before FA started, when teams had the money and the positional need was still unfilled. they would have had a much better return if they acted then, than they will get now under these circumstances. the whole thing was badly mishandled in my view

All true I guess my point is I think a lot of teams would be interested in him at that salary.

The guys a great player and they don’t come around often
