Not a lot of groundbreaking stuff but a few tidbits about Miami and the coaching search.

Marino will be involved with the search. While Mike Tannenbaum has control Dan also had a say in the firing of Joe Philbin.

Miami is unlikely to look the college route but will have a wide list of candidates. While the entire organization loves Dan Campbell he is highly unlikely to become the head coach. The team does want someone who preaches physical football.

Ross has privately admitted that he made a mistake in how he handled the team the last 2 offseasons. The guys on Sirius stated it's no coincidence that Ross'a inner circle has changed so much in the past two offseasons. While they don't know if Tannenbaum is the man to turn the team around they said the feeling is for the first time in years the feeling is Miami will have everybody on the same page.

Team is much more concerned about the secondaey than they are LB.

Good feedback. Thanks for posting!

"Getting everyone on the same page"...YES! Something I have called for for over five years.

Getting everyone with the same vision on how to win is as vital as "finding that special coach". The reason coaches become "special" is simple...everyone in the org IS on the same page.

As much as some are worried about MT, I am much more comfortable with him making a choice for HC than Ross.
This will be his first time with the Fins in being the unquestioned head honcho & I do feel he understands the AFC east.
I know all the complaints about MT, but I will say I do feel he will be an acceptable anti-Philbin/Lazor which is a great start

Having everyone on the same page is great if that page is the right one. We need to actually hit on at least 2 free agents and 3 draft picks. Whoever's calling the shots we're going to need at least 5 new starters on defense and at least 2 on offense. Guard for sure if not 2 plus maybe a TE.
2 new starting corners unless Lippet can develop faster plus 2 LBs and 1 DE. This team has more holes than 100 lbs of swiss chesse

Ozzy rules

I like Dan involved in major decisions. Learning the ropes and on his way to the top of this organization. Need to get rid of that used car salesman though.

I like the idea of "getting more physical". He is not in my first choice, but certainly in the top five, Doug Marrone checks a lot of boxes of what I am looking for in a HC. Physical approach, prior experience, has an edge and would be able to put together a great staff.

So is this confirmation that Tannenbaum is staying?

Tannenbaum is going to stay. Only the ever-so erroneous Jason Cole suggested he could be blown out. Cole also had Pep Hamilton and Adam Gase coming to Miami last year.

The team needs somebody that will go with the strenght of the players instead of trying to force players into their system. We have an atrocious OL and coaches still call 5 and 7 step drops time after time. I'm not comparing Brady to Tannehill but Brady has no friggin line and what does the coaches do to help him? Quick plays all the time. Ball get out of his hand so quickly because of good design plays. That's the way to counter a poor OL to my opinion. Also, everyone knows we do not run in the second halves so it's not very hard for opposing team to figure us out. Tannehill might not be the best QB in the league but he is certainly no that bad. With 10-12 touches a game to Miller, this coaching staff just not put its best players in position to succeed.

I'm getting my popcorn ready. Build me a team like the Arizona Cardinals: fly around to the ball on defense and balanced on offense.

Arizona was built from the inside out FIRST. Fix the O-line, fix the front 7 and then we can worry about the skill guys.

Team is more concerned with the secondary than LB's? The same LB's who haven't made one play all freakin season? 0 sacks? 0 picks? No, fix the LB's first, absolutely the only way to do it. Look at Denver's LB's, or Carolina's, or Arizona's

I do think the CB's and LB's are equal of a problem, but if you cannot stop the run you have no chance.
