Rumors- JLC: Divide Between Philbin and FO/ Ross may trade for Harbaugh

Good job by Ross keeping this covert and behind the scenes... Just another distraction and reason to believe this season is again going nowhere

It's common knowledge that Ross would like to have Harbaugh, probably JLC flinging poop

Because Stephen Ross has been such a big donor to the University of Michigan (donating over $200M in recent years). There is also the possibility that Ross is trying to recruit Jim Harbaugh to Michigan. If the Wolverines are prepared to throw around big money, he is the biggest of big money boosters to the university.
Just saying the info of Ross trying to lure Harbaugh may be correct, but it may be for the university.

This is what I heard. If Harbaugh goes anywhere it's to Michigan.

I thought Harbaugh's contract was up at the end of the season? Is this a case where we can still trade for him before the actual contract termination date, unlike the players? IMO getting Jim Harbaugh is even less risky than signing Peyton Manning as far as being able to buy your way into being an instant contender. He's the Don Shula of this generation and it would be sweet if the organization were able to land two of the leagues best head coaches in a similar fashion.

if y'all think Harbaugh would even consider signing on to take any of Aponte's sh** y'all can keep jackin your business.. ain't gonna happen

I have said the same thing Hayden. Aponte is one of those executives that continually gets promoted to be moved to become someone else's problem. Ross took on the problem to get in the NFL's graces, pure and simple strategic move.

While many on this board loved her contracts and leveraged position that helped get Ireland out the door, it was apparent to me Aponte is more of a black widow executive. There is a path of devastation wherever she has been. She creates conflict and plays allegiance games within the office. Unlike most office environments, her efforts lead to people losing their jobs while she slithers into more power behind the scenes.

For a minute, fans need to stop and think... what has Dawn Aponte done to deserve this much stature and power in a NFL Franchise? Nothing. She has been given special titles along her journey. I believe people should be rewarded for what they do, not who they know or their last name. As we all know, that rarely happens in the world. But unfortunately, this problem is tearing our team apart.

Aponte is an unneeded negative force within our organization. We need football people in our organization making football decisions. I'm tired of seeing people who know nothing about football filling decision making ranks within our organization. We need football minds in our organization.

And now I'm officially tired of hearing the name Dawn Aponte. She has done nothing for this team. Nothing. Time to promote her to the NFL Front Office.

Wow! "black widow executive".....

My knowledge of Dawn Aponte is limited........but there seem to be a lot of experts on this site. I understand her job to be contract administration and negotiation, which in my opinion she has done a very good job performing. We are in solid salary cap position with a lot of big moves having occurred over the last few years and it looks like we should be in decent shape the next couple of years. As her primary job, I can't have much issue with her performance.

As for the office politics, I'm not sure JLC is a credible source of information and frankly, I have no idea what is true or not true as most of things you hear are just whispers and gossip. If Aponte and the Front Office are irritated by Philben's distractions this week, with the lack of aggressiveness at the half in the Buffalo game and our abandoning the run way too often.....then good for her because I am irritated with him as well.

that insider jackhole is doin what he does best; rake muck that ain't worth hearing.. he's a dog-kicker, and since the Parcell's debacle... Miami's the dog he loves to size-9

That's exactly the kind of disastrous move we've come to expect from this team.

That is exactly why I tongue in cheek (?) played up Ross' Ann Arbor allegiance. If my alma mater (not Minnesota) can go into the big house & stomp a mud hole in the maize and blue then Ross should realize loyalty & connections can only take you so far.

p.s. The asshattery began & has not stopped since Wayne allowed Jimmy to pick his successor. I, for one, am really tired of it.

I dont think Aponte is the problem. Ross is the problem. A good owner would have checked all the rifts between these people if there is one.

Trading for Harbaugh is the single best thing that could happen to this franchise at this point. Please make this happen.

You know....I keep seeing and reading stories about Harbaugh losing the 49's locker room and that the players are becoming more and more disgruntled. There is a story about this right now on NFL.com. I think we would need to be careful what we are getting into.

Oh....there is also an article on there that Michigan is interested in "John" Harbaugh and not Jim Harbaugh.
