Seem like the Phins are falling out of the picture on most of the rumoured trades. I was initially a little dissapointed but then holding onto our picks for a change will be nice too. I've read:

Shaun Rogers to Denver
Chad Johnson either staying put or to Washington
Troy Williamson to Jacksonville
Jevon Walker to Dallas
Roy Williams staying in Detroit

I have not heard any recent updates on DeAngelo Hall. Anybody?

Nothing on D-Hall yet. I can't believe how much movement there seems to actually be though...especially this early. Williamson, Walker, and Rogers are all slightly surprising.

This thing is just getting started. Bill and Jeff have all the money they need to do what they want with whomever they won't. It may not be the popular choices or the biggest names but it will be people they know and the right people to do what they want. I have all the confidence in the world in that. If teams want to give more than what we have to offer then let them overpay. We will get people to be competitive this year though.

d-hall and phins are guaging interest talk thats all right now

yeah, it's still pretty early... I think they're working a lot behind the scenes, and plan to spend their money wisely. Once free agency starts, they'll probably make a few key additions, but probably won't break the bank on acquiring the big name players with high price tags.

I still think Jason Taylor is a prime candidate to trade away and acquire more picks, too.

And if the front office is not satisfied with the free agency period, they can shift their focus to some trades, either before or during the draft. Still got a long way to go, and there should be a lot of action.

Your right, we have a long way to go. Free Agency starts up real soon and that is when I think Parcell's and Ireland will get a little bit more active. Not on the big players as much, But I am sure they will know what they are doing. We are one lucky franchise to be able to bring in Bill and Ireland to this team

yea it does seem like Jason Taylor will be traded. i have a question for my fellow dolphins fans, if the dolphins were going to cut zack thomas, why didnt they trade him away like during draft day or something?

What alot of people fail to realize is that we have talent on our team. The 1-15 record obviously says alot but it is misleading. We lost 6 games by 6 points or less. We had a terrible coach that wanted to call his own plays and insult our #4 overall defense from the year before all season long. We were also raveged by the injury bug before the season even started with players like Roth and Porter whom would have made a big impact at their positions. We also had some talented youth getting experiance early like Rod Wright, Ginn, Beck, Satele, and Solaia. We may not need as much as people think to challenge for the wildcard with the right coaching and hopefully everyone stays healthy.

Out of respect for the heart of our franchise. When they talked to Zach they probably ask what he wanted. Zach said they handled him and the situation with class which let us fans not get anymore pissed than we did when it happend. He deserved to go where he wanted and to have plenty of time to decide where that was IMO.

I disa agree. We have no talent. From a talent stand point we might have been the least talented in NFL history if you count the players that where filling in due to injury. Our D is too old. We need to get a lot of young talent if we want to get better.

Actually our D isn't that old anymore. JT and Holliday are about the oldest. Will Allen is as fast as ever and he and Joey Porter were the only ones playing at another level and about the only ones showing heart at the end of the year. Matt Roth was injured in preseason and played through it all year while setting career high's in sacks and tackles. Rod Wright was playing great IMO, and everyone on our D was shocked at why Cam and Capers decided to not let Solaia not play as much even after a couple of sold starts. We will be signing players that will have peole scratching their heads around here but they will serve a purpose. Our back-ups and ST's will be 100% better next year I will bet. We may not fill every starter role this year but with our high picks, 40 mill in cap, and this deep draft we will solidify a foundation at least. Don't be so pessimistic because the power of a good leader is under rated. Our men will all show heart and not one or two or they will get the boot.

Im glad we have not traded any picks. This draft has talent at the QB,DL and OL position up the ying yang and we need to hit on all of those position like crazy.

Everyone that makes it to the NFL has talent. It's just a matter of having coaches and schemes that take advantage of the players strengths and hides the negatives. To say we have no talent is rediculous. We had a coach that was in over his head and hated our defense.

Just like when they cut McMichael last year they probe weighed all the factors and realized they most likely would of gotten no takers. Zach is a great player but it's hard to believe that once you start calling teams, word gets around that your shopping him. I think teams are smart enough to sense why trade for him when most likely he is gonna get cut. Take for instance the Javon Walker situation. All those teams are waiting for him like vultures. Who really wans to pay that contract of his and give a pick up. No thanks. Now you can get him for nothing. That's just smart. As far as Taylor goes i hate to say this but my gut tells me he is going to go soon. The bright side of this would mean most likely another 2nd rd pick. I say if you cut Zach time to get rid of JT too.
