It has to get better!

We cannot expect to win and give up 171 yards on the ground. :shakeno:

We need Timbo back in a hurry!

No kiddding huh? The thing is though we need to be able to survive stopping the run without TimBo he is very injury prone with his bad back. I hope this is where Bryan Robinson steps in.

hey at least we have the best pass defense. thats a positive.

Every time Bowens has been out this has happened. He's one of the most dominant run stuffers in the league.

Not only with Tim being out... but Seau or Greenwood play behind Tim.

Both have a lot to be desired. Seau is an emotional leader, however his skills are diminishing.

He over pursues, has had too many penalties....

The big runs were over his gap - and there was no Brock Marion to back him up.

I'd like to see some of the new guys get some playing time on the field. Guys with fresh legs and instinct.

Meanwhile - wishing Timbo a speedy recovery to get back in there soon.

Rudy Johnson's no slouch.

I agree. Johnson will have a good day if Miami doesn't step it up and clog those lanes! I'm sick of seeing guys get knocked on their arses out there. It is a mess up front.
It is obvious we lack strength up front on that right side.

I have been on the Wilfolk should have been drafted bandwagon since I saw the Dolphins unexpectedly on the clock in the first round, but I have to admit that it's possible he wouldn't have been much help in his first game. The collar of James and the fumble recovery were huge, but James had an awful lot of room to run anywhere he pleased from what I saw of that game.

Our #1 need in the off-season was an OL, so we drafted an OL. It's easy to sit here in hindsight as our rookie OL sits on the bench and say we should have drafted Wilfork. But it would have been dumb at the time to ignore our #1 need, don't you think.

Our #1 need LAST YEAR was OL. By the time the draft happened, this team had St. Clair and McIntosh signed and had other possibilities for cheap veteran tackles. No, I don't think it would have been dumb at all to ignore OL because the fact is that even without Carey, the team DID NOT ignore OL. It DID ignore DL, and we felt the sting of overlooking that position in favor of OL, LB, and CB yesterday.

BTW, this isn't just my position this week. It has been my position since draft day.
