This season version of the dolphins will be running the the rock, like last the fins were one of the best running teams before Ronnie went down, after chatman took over they were still a good running team with a bad o-line that couldn't pass protect, which I think was a lot of Sam satele fault, he has to make the correct line calls. The dolphins ended the season with 95.3 yards rushing, so when ricky is healthy it will be more of the same because bill parcells is not going to let a rookie qb give him a heart attack during the regular season. this teamwill be constructed more like the JETS and chad pennington and curtis martin, heavy on the run and sprinkled with a dash of percision passing to give his qb some easy throws so he can build their confidence. The pieces are in place already, Ted ginn your speedy wideout, david circus your situational receiver, ronnie and ricky your bruising rb's and lorenzo booker your ankle breaker, and in free agency they hard nosed special team players that going to knock someone on their butts, this sounds like a successful recipe for some victories on sundays don't you think?

Satele didn't make the line calls last year, Hadnot did... Kircus is camp fodder, he'll battle Camarillo for #3, unless someone is added in the draft. Can you sit here and really think that RW can be depended on ?? Injury, failed drug tests and now age have littered the last 4 yrs with him...is this year any different ?? Perhaps but I won't hang my hat on him. LoBook only played near the end of last year when it didn't matter. He played ok, but was very suspect in picking up blocks in the passing game... The OL has, right now, two missing starters...What exactly tells us that we will have a power run game other than Parcells' preferred style ??

I think he`s trying to suggest that the *pieces* are coming together for a running game..although there is still work to be done.

Sounds great to me, somehow it would be amazing if we could get J.Long and B.Albert to help us out. Really establishing a dominant run game makes any young QB's transition to pro football so much easier. I could also see us drafting a huge run blocking (first) TE in the mid rounds.

It'll be clearer after the draft and UDFA arrive, but I don't see the pieces coming together just yet...a plan, perhaps, but you can't rely on RW, RB is coming off an ACL, which we all know will take until at least Nov (one year recovery to full speed) before he's back 100%, we're still missing 2 starting OL (unless Mormino is breaks out this year, no TEs to speak of, and they were so enamored with Mauia, that they went out and signed another FB...I just don't see the pieces just yet...

Another reason to draft Jake Long. Heck of a run blocker.
I think the runnning game would be good behind Long, Satele, Smiley, Carey...and whoever else we end up with.....Mormino? Draft pick?

RW is probaly the best back on the team when not on drugs, kircus and camirillo will make those catches that hagan don't, o-line was banged up and besides they played with class c talent and still did a pretty good job of run blocking, the line calls are the responsibility of the center, that's probaly why they got rid of hadnot, defenses were pressuring the fins right up the middle, Lobook is a chain mover and a big play capable guy, sure he missed blocks, when you don't play a lot those things happen, chatman missed blocks also. I was just trying to point out that given time with these players the fins has more of a blue collar team, that's why you don't see them going after high priced FA's.

... no ride Dolphins ride!

well, some of the pieces are already there,we'll get the others via the draft, then it'll start coming together. with Parcells running the show,we have to have some kind of faith that our team is gonna finally start turning into a dominant team again.

I still think we are going to add a couple new runningbacks to the roster especially if it is going to be the focus of our offense the whole Ricky & Ronnie thing has to much uncertainty , it reminds me of last year when everyone thought for sure our defense would be unstoppable and one of our strongest points.
