Wouldn't it be funny if we opened up the SD game with Sage running the 2 minute drill? Now that would be gutsy coaching!!!

Peyton Manning runs the 2 minute warning all game long....lets copy him.

Why not? Its been our most effective offense all year.

because its mostly out of the shutgun and that greatly eliminates the running game, remember there is a diff between a 2 minute drill and a hurry up offense

Our 2 min is mostly from shotgun

The hurry up is just calling the plays on the fly and running them quick

Actually, didnt Sage run quite a bit of it Sunday? I have to watch the game via streaming so I dont get the real picture.
If so, I would have to agree whole-heartedly. Run it.

It would be the smartest thing we have done all year.

Sage got killed vs the browns and the chargers D is better

Sombody said we werent runing a true shotgun though. We were runing the half shotgun that GB uses a lot. They actually run out of it pretty well, still not as easy as a normal formation with a FB but beter than a regualar shotgun.

I think it would take the pressure off and catch the bolts by suprise, once we're ahead it takes part of LTs equation away. Plus i watched part of the cleveland game and I think the reason he did so bad was they (linehan) was trying to protect him by having him throw these easy curl routes. They are easy to complete, but also an easy 6 going the other way. With the bills they just let him read and react, which he does REALLY well. Doesn't that remind you of an old dude we all love so much. Remember, once hat hair took Dan's read and react away, he threw tons of pick 6.

yeah the QB is only about 3 yards from the center rather than 5 to 7

but

The problem is there is no lead blocker so you need a great O-line to run it that way

which we dont have

So....
Gus had us down 23-3 in the time he played against Buffalo.
Sage deserves a second chance....you can't judge a guy on one performance!

Shotgun With 2 Running Backs, 2 Wr, 1 Tight End
Could Be The Best Option Then Audible To A Running Play To Get The D Out Of Position

Set up in a run formation w/ R&R in an I formation or something. This brings out the SD's run D. Then, run the two minute, strictly pass. You have R&R running the flats, one blocking, both blocking, regardless. SD will have their run D out there. However, do this late 2nd when their D is tired from the half (hopefully  ), so that the run stopping subs are on the field, as opposed to a fresh D which makes everything pointless.

Thoghts?

Did you watch the game? They called the same passing plays they did when wanny was here. They tried to hide Sage, instead of play to his stregnth. Also for some strange reason, chambers drops all of Gus's balls, go figure!!
