Do u guys really think Gordon can pull it off this season. Or should we be looking for a trade about now. Were is Trung Canidate. anyone know where he went. Id be looking for him if i was coach.

you honesty think Trung could run with our OL? if he couldnt run with Rams OL, what makes you think he could run with ours?

you cant be quick to judge on Gordon since he is new. im not sure if you was able to catch the game in Vancover or not but Cincy's D penetrated our OL on almost every down.

No one can run the way our o-line is plying. I did think Gordon looked really tentative though. It seemed like he danced in the backfield everytime he got the ball instead of just hitting the hole. I know there were players in his face most of the night, but there were some chances if he would have gotten to the hole. It could just be that he's new to the offence or that he's so used to being hit behind the line. We'll never know unless this line comes together.

I don't hold this game on Gordon. Everytime he got the ball he was nearly hit in the backfield and the times he wasn't he got a few yds. The plays the line actually open a lane he burst through it which were few and far between. I think McIntosh will really help. Anything is better than the way Smith played Sunday Night. I think there will be improvement at line it will just take some time.

Maybe he could be a return man.

Yeah...I hear theres an opening in that spot... :roflmao:

As for dancing in the backfield instead of hitting the holes...What holes??? He was dancing to avoid the 2 plus defenders that always seemed to penetrate the o-line.

Gordon is better then Canidate, did not the Rams ship him away when they got Gordon?

I saw all the games Gordon started for the Rams and believe me...he's a good back. Unfortunately we may never get to see that with the current state of our line.

Looking for Trung to do what? Get injured after one play...some people say the darndest things!!:shakeno:

I guess that means that the RB makes the line look good and not the other way around..

Hopefully there will be some improvement next week with the hopeful and needed return of DMac, but after seeing last week it doesn't look too promising!

Here's hoping! :beerbang:

I was extremely disappointed with Gordon's play. He danced up the middle, showed a lack of vision (cutting the wrong way), couldn't break arm tackles and tripped on the one run that should have netted over 10 yards. Also, I thought he was supposed to be fast??? I think the Rams pulled a fast one and sent us Abdul Jabbar. Anyone else get Deja vu like that?

If he can't average at least 3 yard this week, we have got to go back to Morris. At least he ran hard and showed good vision.

its hard to average three yards when there are no holes to run through and your offensive line are inviting the D-line to pass on through

agreed, but he did not run hard. If he put his head down and charged he would have had @ least 20 more yards. I also blame the calling of only draw plays in the second half.

I've posted this a few times already but it needs to be repeated...Having seen the games Gordon started for the Rams I can tell you I've never seen him do the things he did on Sunday. He does run hard whenever there's the slightest hole (as he did during the Titans game). Gordon is a lot betther than Jabbar...but we may never get to see that because our line is in shambles.

As for the dancing in the backfield...that's easily explained. It's the same reason Ricky caught a case of the "dances" last season, and the same reason Morris was doing the jitterbug this preseason...horrible o-line play. It all starts up front.
