Hello, Finheaven users..)) Even though i havent posted many topics, or replyes, i have bin following this site and forume for about a year now. And finally, I decided to post one..) This is my first "real" topic, so don't laugh too hard if yall think it's stupid..)
Runninbacks. How many do we have? As far as i know we have three:
1) Ronnie Brown (Even though Sammy started against the jets (boy i love the way that man jumps out of the tunnel) It is obvious that Ronnie is our number one guy.
2) Sammy Morris I belive he is a solid number two RB, that can take over number one spot if Ronnie is hurt (like he did earlier this season)
3) Travis Minor Mainly a special teams player, who was moved to second spot while Ronnie was out
And finally Derius Barnes Even thogh he did not have a single carry this season, i still have to put him in here, just because of his position.
Now. Ricky is Supposed to come back this off-season. And even though, i belive he is a shell of what he use to be, I still belive we should take him back. Here is my suggestion...
We cut Derius Barnes and sign Ricky, and what we will have? Ronnie Brown as a starter, Ricky as a back up..let them share carries like they did last season, i belive it was pretty effective. Move Sammy Morris to Fullback, and keep Minor as a emergency back, special teams player. That way we will have to effective RB's and a fullack, whom opponents will have to respect in I-formation (and others) becuase he can flat-out RUN.
So there you have it...My small proposition.
Any coments, suggestions, ideas are welcome.
p.s. please excuse me for my terrible mistypes.

Darian Barnes is our fullback.williams will be back.Im hopeing we trade him and bring in another back to backup Brown.I like Morris but i think we could get a better backup then him.Im happy with Ronnie's play and i think hes still going to be a stud rb in the future.williams is washed up and i just think hes over hyped by alot of people. He was a great rb years ago but his time has passed and its time to move on.We cant count on williams for anything. You never no what could happen this offseason.Everything could go up in smoke!:bong2:

Is Priest retiring? Just asking.

I Think Morris Should Play FB.
He Can Catch And Run.
I Have Not Seen Barnes Run The Ball Or Even See Him On The Field.
We Mostly Use Justin Our TE As Our FB.

:goof: Man you need to stop smoking that stuff. Next season with Ronnie and Ricky and a healthy CPep this team is going to DOMINATE!!!! Ricky is and continues to be a top 5 Running back. They both will have well over 1000 yards next year. It's not an opinion, it's a premeditated FACT!!!:dolphins: :dolphins:

i think all you guys are smoking something.

Barnes is a great FB... no reason to cut him. The FB doesn't usually get a lot of carries - he is there to block for the RB and serve as pass protection for the QB. He is a MVP-type player who never gets any credit because he doesn't put up stats.

Barnes is a GREAT blocking FB that beat out a pro-bowler in Beasley to make the roster.

No way do you cut Barnes. In fact, Barnes is a better blocker than Morris, who is really a RB just listed as a FB b/c of his weight.

:yeahthat:

great point

People ask why LT is so successful......Yes he is a fantastic player...but without Lorenzo Neal and his O-Line, he has absolutely no room to make the moves that he does..........So.....a FB and OL is essential to a successful running game.....fix the OL and let Darian and Ronnie do the rest:wink:

And what, exactly, is wrong with our line at the moment? They just gained some chemistry this season and figured out the best positions for each of them, no reason to change it up unless someone who is a serious upgrade comes along.
