Miller had a good year , but I think we only scratched the surface of his ability. Way too many times he was taken off the field for consecutive drives completely healthy and I was dumbfounded as to why? Maybe they just wanted to keep him fresh? That's fine but I think it happened too many times in crucial drives. I definitely hope they lean on him more this year. Even when he was in I think he was even under utilized, especially in the passing game where he can get out into space. Now if this is just a coaching philosophy then we should definitely want to upgrade the depth. I've seen a few suggestions to bring Moreno back but after seeing him get 2 different injuries ( first the elbow then the knee) he's too fragile for my likening. I was wondering what you guys thought about maybe signing a Pierre Thomas or even a Steven Ridley? Personally Ridley intrigues me and think he would pair up with Miller nicely while also having motivation to stick it to the Pats. Or would you rather see us address the position in the draft...

Of course Ridley is coming off am injury too but this was his first compared to Morenos history

This is one of the best RB drafts I've ever seen. As much as we all like Miller, it would be a waste to not draft from this deep well. That's what stings a bit about trading our 3rd rounder. Gurley and Gordon are the top tier and will go in the 1st round. I feel the next level is very deep and would probably last well into the 3rd. I wouldn't want to spend a 2nd on a RB who isn't G or G and waiting till the 4th might be thinner pickings. But even then there will still definitely be some interesting choices. This year's draft is too good to ignore.

I guess nobody watched Tevin Coleman play last year... With out a qb too...

We should have just kept Jonas Gray or Orleans Darkwa for RB depth, but we lost them because we decided to keep Daniel Thomas on the roster.

We should never make that mistake again. Daniel Thomas does not need to be stashed on the roster. No other team will pick him up. We can cut him, he will stay home and watch TV, or work at the local supermarket stocking shelves. And if we get a wave of RB injuries, we can call him up, and he will be available.

We need a dynamic one two punch. Not some undrafted guy.

We cant have the excuse of not being able to run the ball (when we are running all over teams) and throw the ball 3 times in a row when not neccessary to get a first down.

You need another guy. And guys like Gordon and Gurley make DC's hair stand on end when they cant even stop Miller. RB's are the second most on any team to touch the ball.

oh im sorry, third, center.

I don't think Hickey goes for a running back in the 1st round. I think it's pretty much a lock that he's going to take the best receiver available and/or trade up to get one.

2nd round? 4th round? 5th? We have real needs at Inside linebacker, safety, guard and cornerback... Running back is a luxury pick at this point.

Miller is fine. And I have the feeling Williams is that heavy back we think we need.

Go with Miller and Williams and draft someone late...

ILB, WR, and G have much higher value in round 1 and 2

Gurley will be one hell of a back. Then again, watch a UGA game and you will see Chubbs is gonna be special too.

I like the idea of bringing Moreno back on a cheap deal but, using him with Miller #1, and splitting snaps with D Williams. He adds attitude and leadership while mentoring the two 22 year old pups.

Moreno is very injury prone i think if you go into the season counting on him we are going to have a void again. We needa backup plan

But you can also say that about Cameron. Which is why i think we need Clay and we need to keep Sims too forget that silly scenario about trading Sims

Miller/Williams/Moreno works fine for me. ZBS do not require a "franchise" back. Sign Clay, draft WR first round, then spend the rest on Secondary, Linebackers and Guards and we will be a force to be reckoned with.
