Just some thoughts. With Morris nicked up, do we activate Chatman to get him in the game to play power ball, and flare out Ronnie to be used as a running back to try to create miss matches in coverage? Can we run on the Panthers when our Oline get's it together this week?

I thought for sure we would try more sweeps against the Jeeots considering the success that KC had with it...Sabes and Houck must not have much faith in our pulling ability?...I would just line up and go straight at the bastiches!

I was thinking a couple of passes to Ronnie, and see what he could do with yards after the catch, could promote confidence in his running game as well. Also having Chatman in there may give them the combo of Bruise, and Cruise. Just thoughts.

I really like Chatman, but he's #4 on the depth chart right now and it looks like he'll be the one making way for Ricky when he returns.

That would be fine with me...Anything that works.

My thought were two fold. One give Chatman a chance to see what he can do, before releasing him. Two he could soften the Carolina line a little for Ronnie.

im pretty sure carolina can stuff our run game without 8 in the box, so it has potential to be a very long day for us on offense

our only hope running the ball is that kris jenkins is out, but i still dont know that it will make a difference

We actually did the same play (sweep) where Larry Johnson ran 35 yards untouched for a TD. We lost yardage when we did it.

Especially with no Kris Jenkins. Ronnie should be able 2 plow right through the middle.

The Panthers, even w/o Jenkins have the best or close to the best front 4. They may be a little light on backups with Jenkins out. Could help a little later in the game when the heat catches up to them. The guy we need to look out for is their safety Thomas Davis...this guy is a beast and makes plays all over the place. Carey and Mac will have their work cut out with Peppers, wherever he lines up. They also have very solid LBs. Most teams haven't been able to run the middle on these guys and given our obvious weakness in the middle of the line, I don't see that changing.

We are going to have to run up the middle and to the outside to keep them honest, with the chance to possibly use play action pass. Need to see if we can get some yardage on some screens as well.
