Running Game, Not Qb's Key For Dolphins.

Key to what? LOL

You can't go anywhere in this league without a quarterback...

This part alone in this article should inspire hope into Dolphans this season;

As for Ricky Williams, former NFL rushing leader, it's always a matter of seeing whether the smoke has finally cleared.
What could it mean, however, if the Dolphins' running-back tandem played up to expectations for an entire season, saving each other on wear and tear in the process.
Look at 2005, Nick Saban's first season with the Dolphins. Ronnie ran for 907 yards and Ricky for 743, with 10 rushing touchdowns between them. Who was the quarterback?
Gus Frerotte, if it matters. Most of the time, it didn't, but the Dolphins went 9-7 just the same.

all the running game in the world isnt going hide a bad qb, still needs to make plays, but if r&r stay healthy i can see one of our 3 getting the job done, hopefully beck..

I dont know...when you have to pin your only hopes on the smot poker...is it really hope inspired? Or despair? lol

We were a 1-15 team. We're looking for improvement and signs of hope for the future.

The running game is absolutely more critical to what we're trying to accomplish right now than the passing game. A running game in the LONG run will not mask deficiencies at the QB position...but what are we looking at here, a Super Bowl bid in 2008? Hardly! A running game, good special teams, and a good defense will get you a winning record in the NFL even if your QB is below average for a starter. That's the truth. We have two guys on roster that we think could be the future. It isn't a "must" for them to play well right here in 2008.

You have to look on the bright side of things. With our outstanding rushing, it will relieve pressure off of our QB's. This in turn makes the QB's job a helluva lot easier. It cant "hide" a bad QB, but it sure as hell can improve one!

true...if r&r get in beast mode our qb will play hella better

But that smot poker has got some amazing skills.....plus I believe he is on a mission to clear his name...And I think when Ricky puts his mind to something..watch out...

He's gotta show me first...I only bought into the Ricky hype once...

Ricky has always practiced hard, been a good teammate,(except for quitting on them), looked outstanding in practice, yada...yada...yada...

At age 31, and having not played a meaningful down of football in the NFL in 4 years, broken arms, torn chests, etc....I don't expect much really...be great if he proved me wrong though...but understandably I don't have a lot of confidence in him.
