Well, the running game looked like sh!te.... after all the fuss in the offseason about improving the ground game, AND ricky returning, i was expecting a little more than this. the only yardage we got was against their 3rd string D... and the bears don't exactly have the best run D in the league.

So are we going to blame the RB coach? the o-line (still)? what? as much as i look forward to ronnie brown, he is only one player, and if ricky couldn't get it done (even in his new form now), what makes you think ronnie will be so unstoppable?

and to those that say "this is just the preseason", yes it is, but it gives you a strong idea of what is to come. the way the o-line was playing wasn't all fake - it wasn't to throw teams off in the regular season. the schemes, the blocking (if you can find it) - was all horrible. we saw flashes of brilliance in some spots in the game, but for the most part it was their blitzing that threw us off... its almost like houck didn't plan any plays for getting the blitz.

anyone else see this? anyone else slightly concerned about the ground attack? gordon was worthless, morris was only marginally effective, and only so against their 3rd stringers.... minor was ok (i forgot he was still on the team), and ricky was downright awful.

Oh my God almighty.

You know, I promised myself I wouldn't read all of the overreactor's comments after the game, no matter what the outcome.

But, it's just like a train wreck on this friggin site. You have to look.

slow down there hot rod.... i'm posting my opinion and comments from the game. i didn't say the season is doomed. don't put me in the generalization of everyone else on here.

You have to understand, that right now Nick and Houck are evaluating the talent, and who will work out best together. Give them time. Patience!

I TOTALLY agree....I'm tempted to log off and come back just before the next scrimmage....by then the delerium of this "Earth shattering defeat" will have passed...

i understand that, i am a realist. but there usually is SOMEone that shines.... on the Bears Jones did well. For the falcons Dunn did well.... and indy... well their passing attack was pretty good considering they weren't even trying.

we didn't really have any one RB stand out. thats all i'm saying. i am not passing judgement on the whole team as i realize this is only the first game of the preseason.

my comments are speaking more of a "let down" from an alleged show of promise that was supposed to be the new coaching staff and regime. i guess all of us finheaveners really got everyone's hopes up and psyched out really... its ok though, looking forward to game 2!

Dolphin fan...patience???? I don't think those two things exist together anymore. Someone makes one mistake in TC or preseason games and suddenly we are doomed for the year. Hell, after the game my mom got up and said, "****in dolphins cant win a god damn game." What is wrong with people.

good running games occur b/c of a good offensive line.

the line sucked today and there fore the runnign game sucked.

That whole starting line is new at playing together. The only real starter was James. They have to work on chemistry, communication, and working off of each other! This will turn around. We have some off the best coaches.:)

These posts happen every year. After a preseason loss, the board is full of these threads. I am actually not going be on until 2:00am as usual, because I want to give these dooms day people time to express themselves. I am heading to bed now.

We lost, we have things to work on, but there are still four meaningless games before the start of the season.

Did I mention that Ronnie still hasn't shown the world his talent? Once he signs, we will be in good shape. :)

you guys need to calm down.... i see you posting in every thread crying about people's comments about the game.

look, we are fans. we can express our opinions on the game. to sit there and never point out faults or overlook the bad times would be acting a complete homer. can we not point out the team faults?

if someone came on here and said "the sky is falling, we will lose the entire season, 0-16 here we come!" then i could understand. but no one is saying that. i just want to engage in a conversation about the running game. thats all. if you ask me, i would say you all are the drama queens.

I dont think the o-line played to bad hell they looked better than last year and let me tell you

Vernon was holding his own ! i think he will do good this year

You haven't read enough posts then. I've already seen threads about picking in the top 5 next year in the draft.
