When Steelers and the Jets play this weekend they will feature two of the hotest new coaches.

Tomlin and Ryan both have 4 playoff wins and 1 loss in their short careers
Tomlin is in his 4th year and Rex in his second.

The winner will go to 5-1 in the playoffs and will move into a tie for 37th place alltime after just a few short years.

In the history of the NFL only 110 coaches have ever won a playoff game.
The winner on Sunday will move past the likes of

Norv Turner 13 years
John Robinson 9 years
Bum Phillips 11 years
Sean Payton 5 years
Dennis Green 13 years
Weeb Ewbank 20 years

and equal the likes of

Hank Stram 17 years
Marty Shottenheimer 21 years
John Gruden 11 years
John Fox 9 years
Jeff Fisher 17 years
Briam Billick 9 years

A world championship (6 playoff wins) would put them in the same company as

Dick Vermeil 15 years
George Halas 40 years
Mike Ditka 14 years

on a side note the Jets win last week in New England stopped Bill Belichick from moving up that list.

The top 5 are

Tom Landry 20 wins in 29 years
Don Shula 19 wins in 33 years
Joe Gibbs 17 wins in 16 years
Chuck Know 16 wins in 23 years
Bill Belichick 15 wins in 16 years.

I'm glad the Jets kept Belichick from getting to 3rd alltime.

b/c Morono is a wopping 25/23 in 3 years in Miami. or whatver his embarrassing record is.
