I don't claim to be a draft expert, but watching the practices, Ryan Kalil stands out as a very solid prospect. He's been dominating his assignemnts so far in drills. He was compared to Nick Mangold, and had pros and cons in comparison to last years #1 center (better athlete, worse base). I'm not sure where he is projected to go, I assume somewhere in the first 3 rounds. But Cameron made an intersting point, how great offenses start from the center line(C, QB, FB, HB), and then out. I like sexy Rexy, but I don't think he is a pro-bowl caliber center. Just throwing it out there.

I strongly agree with drafting Kalil. He projects as an early second rounder, so theres a good chance he'll be there when we're picking. Face it people, Seth McKinney is always hurt and just isn't that good. Hadnot isn't terrible, but he's a guard and should be moved back there. Look how much of a difference Mangold made for the Jets, some people say he's been more impressive than D'Brickashaw Ferguson. Center is the second most important spot on the o-line, its about time we realize that...

i'll take him if Joe Staleys gone at our 2nd pick. AND Bowe, Maechem, and rice have to be gone too.

Kalil looked good especially against tank tyler today. only thing about him is the size issue which alot of scouts are saying that he wont fit into alot of systems. scouts compare him to greg eslinger from last year.

If we draft him we draft him and if Cam wants to pass on him then I will stand by that because I think Cam knows what he is doing and ready to see who he drafts it should be interesting

I like Doug Datish better.

I think there will be a lot of talent available at our 2nd round pick. I like the idea of a pass rushing DE (Crowder, Abiamiri, Woodley) with that pick. With Hadnot and Carey improving solidly, I think the line will naturally be better next year than it was this year, so I don't think we need a major youth revamp. I think if we just add a few veterans and maybe a guy or 2 in the later rounds, we'll be sitting nicely. Kalil is a good player, but I wouldn't spend a 2nd on him for this team.

I completely agree. In my mock draft I have MIA drafting a C in the 2nd round. We can grab our LT via FA with Eric Steinbach. Or move Shelton back to LT with Steinbach as the LG. Either way, you sign Eric Steinbach.

I like Tedd Ginn Jr in the 1st round or Reggie Nelson if we sign Kevin Curtis.

i dont understand why people bash size...look at the new england patriots offnensive line....u dont see any mammoths, do u??? no, theyre all quite slimmer guys...yet they are possibly the best

we do need a good center that can actually block but 1st we should pick jarrett 2nd troy smith 3rd he may have a chance

I rather grab Mozes in the 4th or later then waste the second on a center. With so muchtalent in the first 3 rounds of this draft we must select wisely, and i trust Cam can do that.

Mayock said last night, this kid is having the best week overall. He's a bright guy, and seems to exude mental toughness...basically the reason why I think someone like Kalil will be pretty successful in this league, while a Manny Wright, entering his 3rd season, is on pace to fail.

I don't know much about him as a player, but I can tell you the two positions I want to take care of first and foremost are LT and C. Whether that be through free agency or the draft IMO it needs to get done.

Ryan Kalil looks impressive to me...quick with good feet.
I have some USC games recorded I'm gonna see how he looks in the games.
