GMF's Silva reported RT limited in practice the past two days. This been going on since recently coming back and on a "pitch count?" I'm not a RT homer and if really not ready would like to c our third stringer but also want clear (as much as possile) view what to do next year at position considering his contract, injury history and as one poster said (and I agree) RT isn't going anywhere until there is a true upgrade on the roster.

Just wandering how close to 100% he really is (did read he still has pain) and if it is still pretty definite he will start Sunday . With holiday they may not have been on regular practice schedule or media may be limited. Any news anyone know?

Ryan Tannehill removed from injury report

Ryan Tannehill (shoulder) wasn't listed on the Dolphins' final injury report for Week 12 against the Colts.

Tannehill will be back under center this week after missing the last five games with a right shoulder injury. His return pushes Brock Osweiler back to the bench. Tannehill is best viewed as a back-end QB2 against Indy.

Guess we’re going to find out.

Agree, unless there's more they're not telling us or they don't really know. THX Danny and Albert for info. I'm somewhat limited as to what I can find and perceive, easier to throw it out there and read what others know/think. Just hoping for some REAL answers and direction, and of course a miracle streak, these last few weeks.

I bet you it’s more they don’t -100 percent know for sure. There was a tweet I posted yesterday someplace that basically said 4 out of the 5 doctors consulted said that playing would not make the injury any worse. I hope that’s true and their not risking any more damage...

There's some weird thing where if the QB doesn't take all the first team snaps he's listed as limited.

They said the Pats have been doing it for years with Brady. The back up takes first team snaps and they list him as limited.

Don't ask me, I don't get it either.

It doesn't necessarily mean someone is physically limited, just that they missed some of their usual reps.

Ryan was taken off our injury report for Sunday, wasn't he?

Yes he was. But he really know if he's totally healed or not. I guess we'll find out in a couple of days.

I think our medical staff is in Afton I don't put any stock in what they do. Will find out game day but we have nothing to lose. rRyan has everything to lose cuz if he gets hurt will be looking for a backup job next year

Im not really a RT fan, or a RT basher; but I hope they're not risking further injury by putting a less-than-healthy QB on the field.

Likely they are and likely Ryan himself is forcing the issue. I don't think it's hard to get his mindset.

1) He's already missed a lot of time
2) He's a competitor that wants to compete
3) He wants to prove so many wrong
4) He feels he's at the end of his career at this point
5) This year or likely next year is his last time in a Dolphin uniform

etc etc etc

So to me, that suggests if he feels he's remotely in the 60-80% range then he's forcing it.

I just hope the coaching staff and the play calling has some thought to protecting him.

I agree except point #4. Even if he’s done in Miami, he’ll get a backup somewhere. One injury away from Rich Gannon late in career MVP season.

Tanny would never accept being a backup after being coddled for 7 years here.

After getting fined once for failing to disclose RT's injury, I dont see them doing it again.

If he is off the list then he should be 100% ready to go on Sunday.

Possibly, however, at best he's likely a stop gap for a high pick rookie QB.
Shame, under the correct coaching organization from day 1 Tannehill could have been so much better.
He has all the tools to make every throw. IMO, he only lacked good coaching to be an average to slightly above average QB.

AGREE, especially if it was my future in doubt. Remember hearing stories of the early 70s where Raiders had bowl full of uppers for whoever wanted them. Sure things have changed???? ALL the dr., shots scripts pills opinions, is there ANY doubt somehow U can play unless u can't walk or pass concussion protocol? What's the fine print on the contract, insurance, law suits if he isn't really ready to play? NFLPA (if can stand up to NFL) and someday maybe, Supreme Court may decide. MAYBE why so many injuries these days. Don't get me wrong , if my life was significantly altered and my family had to change their lives or pay for my problems, I would hope here was help. But what about the good ok days, being football, construction, NASA, u gave ur ALL and excepted it as choice?
