Tannehill was outplayed by rookie Josh Allen, who accounted for four touchdowns. It was a sour end to the season for Tannehill, who failed to hit the 150-yard threshold in four of his final five games.
Now, the Dolphins have to be asking themselves if they can again put their confidence in Tannehill in 2019. Not to mention $26.6 million in cap space.
"I have no idea," Tannehill said of the possibility he'll be retained. "No idea. I have not communicated with anybody about that. I was focused fully on this game and coming out and wining the football game. Obviously that didn't happen, but I haven't had any discussions or anything. The game just ended 30 minutes ago, so it's tough to even think about all that going forward.
"I know God has a plan for my life, whatever that may be, and that's where I'm going to be."

It’s a shame, I wanted him to work out, but it’s just not there to happen. Miami and Tannehill going their separate ways is best for both parties.
