ryan tannehill....dave hyde's a believer

Would you guys be happier if he looked average agaisnt the two's? Its not the 3's he's playing with he's playing with the next set of players who come in if we have an injury. These guys aren't bums like some want to say they are. We all know who he's going against but to look like he's doing really well is a good thing. That means if he is besting the 2's then the 1's he should fit in. If he looks totally lost then that's what many of us thought going in that he needs reps and time. If he gets in there and looks as good as Moore and Garrard then we will really have something to talk about. Hopefully that day is tomorrow.

I'm driving the start Tannehill now band wagon!

You got a jump seat for me?

I think that if he is in even a close competition with Girrard and Moore then he should start. I acually think Moore will soon be the odd mad out because of the way he practices and it will be a battle between Girrard and Tanny for the starting QB position. Hopefully we can unload Moore to someone like the Chargers for a 5th if that's the case.

Remind me again, will teams be trotting out defenses full of reserves and 2's in the regular season? No.

This is what I hate about training camp reporting. It's always extreme. We won't know anything if/until Tanny faces legit competition. Right now he's showing he's better than the 2's. That's about all you can label it as. His ball placement and arm strength sound great right now. But the variables changes when he's facing legit defenders. How will those things look when he's trying to mentally break down the defense he's seeing vs. players with better skill sets? We don't know that yet. Your level of competition can make you look better than you actually are or worse.

Right now Garrard and Moore are the only two guys practicing vs. the 1's and to compare their performances vs. Tanny's is like comparing Apple Juice to Champagne in terms of defense. It's a hollow comparison. I put my money on it that if Moore of Garrard were practicing vs. the 2's and looking great, everyone would be saying the same thing I'm saying about Tanny's performance. Funny how that is.

I Loves me some apple juice!

Maybe it is early to judge so soon, but I may have to join the start him bandwagon. If he looks good in preseason, I'm definitely on board

There seems to be a really good vibe going on in Miami. I really like how Philbin carries himself and he clearly has a vision to make this team exciting and a winner. So far so good for Tanny. But lets manage expectations of greatness for now. There will be some rough with the smooth but I feel Tanny has the skills, desire, intellegence and athletisism to be a fine QB.

Guys strap yourself in to your seats we may be witnessing the beginning of something really special in Miami.

This kid is the future he has shown up prepared and ready to play most of the things he needs game speed to develop.

Negative! I have been saying start him since draft night. Expectations are low this year so better too put him in and let him grow add the team is rebuilt.

Based upon reports so far, all 3 quarterbacks hold some level of optimism. If Tannehill climbs the depth chart, it'd be interesting to gauge the reaction of Moore or Garrard as the 3rd string QB, as I'm sure neither would care for that. It seems as though either of them could be suitable backups for a number of teams if they're not starting here, and they'd hold the possibility of being a starting QB, too (considering that either could be starting for us this season). Imagine if Miami became the next Philadelphia Eagles - trading off backup QBs to starting roles elsewhere in exchange for high draft picks. What a shift in QB confidence that would be...

i dont mean no harm bro, but nobody MAKES you follow anyones twitter feed. I watch Fox News daily and nobody makes me follow CNN or MSNBC, i am just saying, peace out!!

He's playing against the 2s but hes also playing with the 2s. If the 2s are such scrubs on defense, where we are actually good, then he should look like **** throwing to the backups of a weak receiver core and line. I would think having better players at every position around him on offense might cancel out the fact that he's playing against the starters. Idk, well see.

Extremist!!!! Take him to Guantanamo!

This is a first for you.

Normally all your responses are well thought out and stick to the topic. As it stands, you're left with nothing but sarcasm aimed at me.

Are you running a fever CK? You're better than that.

Still waiting for your response on how you'd judge Garrard/Moore vs. the backups if you were to put them in Tanny's place. Would you claim "they belong" too? It's so funny man. Might as well put us down for a Super Bowl while you're at it. I mean after all we've had 3 practices and that's more than enough to get an accurate assessment. We belong!!!!!
