Ryan Tannehill: Franchise QB, Like It Or Not

Sorry but any draft player could have bust written all over them. I see a teamplayer who went out and wanted to play so he switched to WR, with accuracy and arm strength, this kid has a huge upside and a high ceiling.

We are talking about TOP 10 pick here. You don't reach out of desperation.

He was outplayed at QB, thats why he was moved to WR. He then came out his JR year and flashed. Then his SR year he flopped. That is the facts. MIAMI's new OC is here because he put his faith behind said QB.

4 wins in the BIG 12 this year....4.

In this draft lets go with the TOP 2 QB's on the board. They have the upside and body of work to suggest they can develop into franchise quality starters.

Now you Tannehill fluffers. He struggled against the top talent in the BIG 12. Now you may say he only played a year and half at QB, and I say there is a reason for that. He couldn't beat out the QB's on the depth chart to get there, a depth chart that was in place for ALL of Sherman's tenure.

Stop watching the NorthWestern highlights, or the KU highlights. Look at his work against OU, OKST and MIZZOU. Look at the fact, as a previous article stated, he lost 5 games that TAM was leading at half. And then look at the fact he lead his TOP 10 preseason team to 4 wins in the BIG 12. Unlike you, I watched almost every one of his games. I watched TAM leading big in a few games, only to see them be held in the second half and lose. Watching him lock onto WR at the worst times, throwing crucial picks.

I unlike most here, go by what I see on players like Tannehill. I won't comment on Cousins or Osweiller. But I watch alot of BIG 12 football. And there is a big difference between RGIII and Tannehill. One is ready to be a NFL qb, IMO. And one isn't, IMO.
I'd trust that judgment before I would some of the experts that have watched a couple of his game.
i think Sherman makes the call on this. Who knows him better ?

I think the kid drops like Brady Quinn. I think he hast talent, but I don't feel their is a QB remaining that has top 10 talent.
Me either but that didn't stop the teams from going there last year.

Unless Sherman's all in take a pass rusher or trade down.Don't reach.

Completely agree on Tannehill, couldn't have said it better myself. He totally got on his knees and blew that OKST game in the 2nd half, it was brutal. But that's just one example of Tannehill being totally careless with the football in the 2nd half of games, he pulled that **** 4 or 5 times this year and it was very costly for A&M.

I think that Weeden is all around a much better player, and if he was even 2 or 3 years younger he'd be an undisputed top 5-10 pick. I wouldn't even be mad if we picked Weeden at 8. If he develops into a very good QB like I think he can inside of a couple of years, then we ONLY get 6-8 years of a franchise QB. GOD FORBID.

Yeah awesome point. Too bad Tom Brady couldn't crack the starting lineup till his junior year either. Got anymore great points?

I think we are reaching if we take a qb not named Luck or rg3 with our 8th pick. We need to take the best player available if we stay pat, so many wholes to fill and the 8th pick must be a hit.

We might be about to trade DOWN and still get him plus another pick or 2. If he gets past us he may drop several picks. After us are Carolina , Buffalo , Kansas City and Seattle. Who knows. If we pass he might fall to the middle of the round.

Here we go again. Tannehill was given the start only after a injury to the starting QB his JR year. The fact that Sherman waited until then says alot. Then with EXPECTATIONS and a TOP 10 preseason team, he won 4 games in the BIG 12.

Now go back and watch the OK, OKST and MIZZOU games if you want some 'great points'. Because its there to be seen. Don't cherry pick your ****, watch his WHOLE body of work.

I admit I only watched the Northwestern highlights but I'm just not seeing what everyone else is seeing I guess. People didn't like how Henne locked on one receiver and that's all this guy does. Not worth a 1st round pick at all..

Totally agree. I for one hope by some miracle we are able to land Blackmon. If he is gone, which I expect he will be (too St. Louis), and obviously Claiborne is gone too, I hope they can get Michael Floyd. I think this draft has 2 very good WR and 1 pretty good one in Stephne Hill. All these WR are projected 1st round picks, with Blackmon and Floyd top 10. Me personally, a great draft would be us landing Blackmon 1st pick, then Janoris Jenkins 2nd pick. Most of you are thinking...umm who's going to play QB? My reply is Moore. I'm not high on draft for need. I think you draft best available. Tannenhill imo is not a franchise QB and to draft him just because we are in need of a QB is irresponsible.

We would kill 2 birds with one stone. By drafting one of the 2 top WR, we fill a need at WR but we ALSO draft a player who should come in and make immediate impact. Blackmon is a Stud.
