Ryan Tannehill Has Smoothed Things Over With Coach.

Joe did not think any of this through hence his apology yesterday.

Awful leader.

I'm sure he read Bootang25's letter and was inspired to act.

Yeah, but asking his lawyer to start the restraining order process isn't the action he intended....

RT struggles and then gets yanked by Joe. This article will have no legs.

Just a bad situation. Bad leadership leads to this stuff.

No, the fact that the media blew this out of proportion (as usual) is a joke!
Agreed. But Philbin should have known it would happen. And if he planned it to motivate RT17 then as the old saying goes, be careful what you wish for. IMO either way Philbin looks not so smart.

I can't believe ANYONE would actually believe anything you just said here. To think that any of the players care or would be concerned about any of this is just flat out ridiculous to me. I'm sure they're rolling their eyes at the media's stupid assumptions.

Oh really? Is that why several players were openly confused by Joe's refusal to name the starting QB? Is that why Wake publicly said RT is our guy? You must be blinded by Philbin love to think this wont be a continued issue.

Philbin had poor execution on this, for sure, but I think he did have a plan

Obviously RT needs to take this public stance, but you would have to be dense to believe that their relationship isn't irreparably harmed by now. These two will never have a good relationship again, if they even had one to begin with. It's like a Ireland/Sparano strained relationship now.

And I also think other players saw this whole thing and lost pretty much all respect for Philbin, because if he can do that to the starting QB, he can do that to any of them.
I only played HS football, but I hated everyone of my coaches. They were all verified a-holes

I think its over rated if players and coaches like each other or not. Now if they do not respect each other, then I think there are real issues to over come.

If we lose this game I think Ross fires Philbin before the team boards the plane.

To me, Philbin has already sealed his fate. The two leaks to the press this week to Jason Cole and Greg Cote, about Marino and Ross's dissatisfaction with Philbin, are pretty huge.

The only question now is when Ross is going to be able to do it without looking hasty. After the way he botched replacing Tony Sparano in the absolute worst possible ways, he has to do this thing right this time and show that he's learned how to handle these decisions in an acceptable manner.

I think if the team poops the bed against Oakland, he can fire Philbin without looking the fool.

Philbin came out very buffoonish in this situation. He's got to go. But, on the bright side, Tannehill handled it great. He's going to get leadership points in the locker room for this. Tannehill stood up to stupidity and led. That was great.
