Ryan Tannehill is one very excited Dolphin QB right now.

All I needed to see was the Fins had Buffalo and the Jets for the last 2 games and turnover Tannehill threw one td in 2 games. You will never see another schedule that easy to get in the playoffs. I have a feeling this year will be no different and Philben will be sent packing!

Neither one of those was easy, especially the Bills, whose fierce front seven was one of the worst matchups we could have with out weak line, though I will agree that one TD in two games is unacceptable.

Seriously, I will not be tolerating any excuses as to why Tannehill can't. He's got enough around him to do the job. I'm not sold, frankly. I don't think Tannehill can be the guy, I hope I'm wrong.

There will be excuses regardless guys. The play calling, skill players or the line. This is Finheaven it's a guarantee.9

You guys need to take it easy on Tannehill, you are giong to be sorry this yer when he takes off now that he has a little help!!!

Where do comments like this come from? At least get your facts straight. He was near the top of the league in shortest time to throw.

.....when he wasn't getting sacked!... you can't lead the league in sacks...and say he had one of shortest time to throw...maybe once he actually decided to throw the ball

I think a ton of people here criticizing him would be ecstatic if he talks off. Who would rather be right than see the Fins win?(admittedly, maybe some here).

Your not lying man... they are blinded by Tannehills clean buzzcut and think he already is a future HoF... its sad and pathetic, but, its ok because there will be no excuses if Tannehill doesnt succeed this year. We got the new O-Line, a new RB, and a new WR... If we dont get to the playoffs, its on Tannehill, our offense runs through the QB and hes the key to success.

Just bc some of us see a bright future for RT doesn't mean he's already a HoFer. But you're right. This year is put up or shut up for our QB. If he doesn't then it's time to bring in competition!

Both types of sacks happened frequently though. And when four guys held their blocks but a 5th let a guy through, Tannehill often never saw or at least never adjusted to the one guy coming at him.

Wrong. If I find an article or a video clip of Tannehill adjusting and avoiding a rusher, will you stop making stuff up?

?? Translate please.

He was one of the quickest to throw the ball and he led the league in short sacks. This has been shown on this message board hundreds of times.

Yep. Lazor is a huuuuge improvement over Sherman

We were 29th in run attempts and 26th in rushing yards per game. A lot of that was Sherman.

We were 10th in passing attempts yet only 20th in passing yards per game.

We gave up 58 sacks, 8 more then the 2nd worse team.

Reading those stats, how would you game plan against last season's team?

I'd bring the total pass rush all game and almost not really defending against the run at all. Most teams last season played pass first defense against us most of the time. Then when we did run, they adjusted during the play knowing we were no real threat to run.

It is hard to do anything when the other defense knows what you are going to do.

Yes, he was, and he was also near top of the league in trying to get throws off while about to be flattened that he had no choice of getting out of his hand before being hit. Tannehill doesn't attempt to evade or even move with pressure, he tries to beat it with the throw.

I think it had more to do with Sherman telling him not to have nervous feet in the pocket, but to stay tall in the pocket, read the defense and make the throw, until late in the season, when Tannehill was moving around more and even taking off when there was nothing there....just like the years before.

What Shermen did will help Tannehill become a better pocket passer in the future, but was hurt his 1st two year because he could not use his athletic abilities when things did not go right.

It's ironic that probably one of the reason Sherman did not want him to take off at 1st sign of trouble, was to help him not take too many shots, but by keeping him in there with that O-line, he probably took more punishment, then if he had just taken off.

Well....help is coming....

4 new Starters on the line...and hopefully one of them can keep Mario Williams off of Tannehill...
