Tannehill is not one of the people questioning that ability, however. Tannehill believes that his ability to make plays with his legs will remain an asset he can use to his advantage moving forward.
“I feel like I am moving well, able to escape, able to get upfield when the window is there,” Tannehill said, via the Miami Herald. “It’s still going to be a weapon for me. When defenses present an open spot, we have to take advantage of it with my legs.”

He is probably safer outside of the pocket than he is in it. I hope he continues to make plays with his legs. I always thought he didn’t run or escape the pocket to put more pressure on the defense.

We don't need him to carry the football often but he will need to do roll outs and bootlegs from time to time. Our O-line should be better this year but they won't be perfect so at some point he will have to escape the pocket to avoid the pressure/sacks

I'm happy that he has his mobility and speed back but if there's a choice to preserve his body by running out of bounds instead of taking a shot then do it. I hope he comes back a little more polished in the pocket as far as making guys miss and throwing the ball away to avoid sacks.
