In that first link and video it's pretty damning evidence against Tannehill and why we haven't scored over 30 points with him in over 20 games. Once in his career.
Wow it's disturbing and if I was Philbin and Sherman, really concerned their jobs are tied to him.
The point is that this is much ado about nothing. Tannehill is a developing QB. He (and all QBs) are likely to have flaws. There are also team/situation differences to account for. I can think of several. Finally, his completion % is not bad. His QB rating is because of 4 INTs. He is throwing to a bunch of guys that are new or played very little last season (Wallace, Gibson, Clay, Egnew, Matthews). Only Hartline is an experienced receiver that is back from last season. Even the RBs are essentially new. Add to that the issues with the OL and we should all be glad that the development is occurring without much bigger growing pains.

Middle- 1-5 for 49, 0 td's, 2 picks. Pff- 0.3, nfl 28.3.
Right- 3-18 for 125, 0 td's, 2 picks.
I don't see the difficulty throwing to the middle based on the bottom line.
ESPN's statistics don't match others like Sports Illustrated. Who is correct? How do you explain the statistics on this page?

Here's Sports Illustrated, with a slightly different definition of "middle," but again based on five sections of the field, with a similar sharp decrease in "middle" passing on Tannehill's part:ESPN is splitting the field 5 ways as opposed to 3. If you add the left, right and middle from them you have the middle everyone else uses, and the only one I've known.
The INT's definitely hurt the QB rating over the middle, yet the YPA is highest in that area. Which stat is most closely associated with winning? Here's Sports Illustrated, with a slightly different definition of "middle," but again based on five sections of the field, with a similar sharp decrease in "middle" passing on Tannehill's part:

Even if you collapse the "right" and "left" into the "middle" as PFF does, and end up with only three sections of the field, you still wind up with a 78.4 QB rating for Tannehill in that version of "middle," which isn't good, and his TD to INT ratio in that area is 1 to 2 (3 TDs to 6 INTs).
That's a good question... Lets see how he gets out of this one... Should be fun!The INT's definitely hurt the QB rating over the middle, yet the YPA is highest in that area. Which stat is most closely associated with winning?

The collapsing of ESPN's right, left, and middle into one category.Where did you get 78.4? It does not make sense to me, and PFF has 5 TD's with 6 picks.
