We all remember how the Dolphins lost to Cleveland last year 22-0 to fall to 3-7 and how after that game, an emotional Saban said or did something to get the team to buy into his philosophy. That moment was credited for the Dolphins turning their season around to finish 6-0.
Now I am not among those who are looking at the 20-10 loss to New England as some kind of moral victory, which the coach and players seem to be doing, as evidenced by the postgame quotes. This is a veteran team, not a young team. But ... do you think Saban has given his fire and brimstone speech yet this year? Will it even work, or will the players be rolling their eyes (and if they are, those players shouldn't be here next year). Or is all that coach as a motivator stuff overrated to begin with?
