i feel like we were "lied" to so to speak when it came to the day we hired Mularky. I feel like saban is a colt leader that just talks. Why would he say....We are going to run the DOLPHINS OFFENSE and not mularky's when we are NO WHERE NEAR THE PHINS OFFENSE OR ANY OTHER OFFENSE SO TO SAY.

i see a lot of talk but no follow thru.

now ppl are goin to come and bash yada yada yada well get a life. its a thread, im expresses what i noticed and feel. have a GREAT DAY.

how many rants are u gonna post in this site?

I'm pretty sure that when Saban took over this team there really wasn't a "Dolphins Offense" it was pretty much give the ball to Ricky. Therefore to say that we arn't running the "Dolphins Offense" is pointless because we really had no offense before Saban got here. We had hand the ball to Ricky plays but no Offense. This team is just now going to start getting an offensive identity.

First of all, I would think before you say we're not doing something, you should be able to clearly identify what it is. What exactly is your perception of the "Dolphin's Offense"? Do you believe that these gadget plays that Mularkey is so fond of calling were not in the playbook before he arrived? I would bet that they were.

Actually, when Saban took over this team, Ricky wasn`t Dolphin. He went somewhere else fishing, or something..

Well, wasn't he technically still under contract? And then Saban was able to convince him to come back.

this is not the offense we ran last year. it has mularkey's fingerprints all over it. as for the trickery, i havent seent he rams run a flea-flicker or hb pass yet this year, and if im not mistaken we didn't try it last year either. mularkey put the gadgets in.

i personal do not believe that saben wanted our cordinator to leave to coach the rams. but he did and we had to move on. thats jus the way it works. would our off. be better this year under linehan(sp)? yes but we could not keep him. i am bitter about it to guys.

I was quoting SABAN when he said that in a press conference. we will run the DOLPHINS OFFENSE meanign the one from last year and rem how EXCITED ppl were to have Mularky and have the PHINS OFFENSE so to speak. there were 234234 threads about it. Saban said we will RUN THE PHINS OFFENSE ALTHOUGH WE GOT MULARKY! thats BS cuz this aint no phins offense from last year. thats what he meant, the offense since he came here has ntn to do with the wanny Offense. ppl post some POINTLESS stuff.

You dont know what you are talking about.

What Miami was going to retain was the terminology Scott Linehan used. When he called plays, referred to formations, and things of that nature they use a "language" composed of numbers, colors, geographical locations, and other things like that. That is what Saban said was going to be retained. It is much easier for Mike Mularkey to use that and adapt his playbook to that terminology then have all the offensive players and coaches from last year learn his terminology.

Mike Mularkey is still using his plays, his formations, and his tendencies. That is the way Saban advertised it, and that is the most reasonable way to have made the change.
