A user on another forum stated they heard this on 790.. Anyone else hear this?

That would be awesome.. I think it helped Gruden's draft last season.

That would be a great thing, IMO, to have our coaching staff to do the Senior Bowl.

How do coaches end up doing it?

They usually pick the team with the worst records in each conference in use their coaches. Last year, that would have been San Fran's and Miami's staff, but neither staff had their coaches set at the time.

Cleveland didn't have their coaches set either. Chicago turned down the opportunity, and Tampa took it. Oakland was the next team in the AFC.

So more than likely it'll be San Fransisco and one of the other sucky teams. Not sure which other one will keep their coach.

I have checked several web sites and I havent seen anything about Saban coaching in the Senior Bowl yet.

I hope its true because it gives coaches a leg up on the draft picks.

BTW here are the QBs that have been invited.

QB
D.J. Shockley Georgia
Jay Cutler Vanderbilt
Kellen Clemens Oregon
Darrell Hackney Alabama Birmingham
Charlie Whitehurst Clemson
Brodie Croyle Alabama

BTW Cutler has been hyped so much lately that he better have a Rivers type performance in order meet expectations.Thats a lot of pressure to have.

IMO its just as likely that another QB on that list will impress.Who do you think that will be?

I caught a piece of a comment made by Len Martez on QAM last night and it *sounded* like that is what he said, but I couldn't be sure. I've heard nothing about it since.

If Cutler has a performance like that, I']ll finally give him credit. All I see in the guy is a solid no-greater than 3rd round pick boy in a mans body. I feel that 99% of his bandwagon is from generated hype.

KB21 pegged him about 2 months ago (Pre-hype) as a guy the Fins should look at.....back then he figured he would go higher in the second than we picked....end of first early second round pick. I think If Vince Young declares it will help our chances.....if he grades out high enough of course.

You are quite right Crunch. I would say that when healthy either Whitehurst, or Croyle could have a great game. They both have battled injuries...but when they are ok physically...watch out!

I hope it's true.

That would work so much to our advantage when looking at draft talent.

I don't think any of the other QB's on that list can touch his talent.

I couldn't imagine Saban, with his draft prowess, having even more information from coaching the senior bowl. That would be absolutely splendid.

That would be my guess.;)
