There is one reason why nothing that happens this preseason will get me down, and thats because Saban isn't playing yet. When you have a coach this good, your gameplan becomes as much a strength as your best player, and often will win you the game. Our secondary sucks right now, but I have a feeling that Saban can make it work. Remember when the pats had all those injuries but won anyway? Thats all coaching! Granted they have one of the all-time greats, but I still feel that Saban can out coach almost anyone, and that my friends is better then a strong secondary. As far as i'm concerned, Nick Saban is our star player, and we must keep in mind that for these five games we are playing without him (no gameplanning going on for pre-season). Look for everyone - even the secondary - to surprise.

Well said, I think Saban is going to have quite a few tricks up his sleave come regular season.

I agree, most coaches will not show much of anything during the preseason. They have 5 games and weeks worth or practice left to get a grasp on things and learn. I feel there is no need to panic.

unfortunately St. Nick's aged legs and sparkling Kent State pedigree won't help against Ashley Lelie and Jake Plummer-we better hope we have the best 53 men out there-and then perhaps his coaching skills will translate into the only thing he cares about...winning. That said, it will be fun to watch this year no matter how well we end up doing, just to see something different than we've seen the past few years.....

I totally agree... The Broncos don't stand a chance on September 11th.

One team coming from a high altitude/low humidity area to the sweltering heat of mid-day/sea level Miami.

Again, Mike Shanahan does not stand a chance against Mr. Saban! ;)

Yep. It doesn't matter who is playing in the secondary or the O-Line Nick Saban is such a great coach his coaching alone can overcome any weaknesses.

We always beat the Broncos I was at the game in 2003 when we kicked 2 50+ yard field goal to win the game. We own the Broncos exept for the Playoffs about 10 years ago and for last year.

If we didn't have any strengths then he couldn't, but we have good linebackers and a good D-Line along with Madison and eventually Lance in the secondary... on D he only needs to compensate for two-three players, which a good coach can do. On offense we have great recievers, running backs, a few decent O-Line players, and judging by that last game, a reasonable QB. Again, only a few players to coach around. And when i say overcome, i mean around 8 wins... not a super bowl run. That, all things considered, is not unreasonable.
