Saban Impressed With Brown's Debut

Eh...........I give him mixed reviews......... I remember there was quite a debate about Ronnie's abilities when it came to blitz pickup and I gotta tell you - I was impressed. He certainly didn't play like a rookie when it came to that.

As for his running............well he danced quite a bit. He wasn't hitting the holes hard with the power and speed we know he's capable of.

All that matters is that it wasnt blair thomas or kijana carter esque. He was probably just a little hesitant cause of the speed of the game. Thats gonna take at least a game or three to get used to.

I agree. His blitz pickup was awesome and he will understand soon enough that this is the NFL and you cannot dance in the backfield. Hit the hole hard 1 yard is better than -2

Oh not by any means did he look like those bums. I just saw him unsure of himself out there, taking bad angles in his running lanes and dancing in the backfield. Pretty typical stuff for a rookie RB, although his kindred buddy Cadillac went off today ..........I was kind of surprised given the fact that their offensive line wasn't in any better shape than ours.

i'm sure teh coaches will be in his ear telling him to stop dancing and just run the damn ball

Ronnie's passing skills showed today as well. Over all I give him a A- on the day. Much room for lot's of exciting plays from this kid.

Well Cadillac busted that big one, otherwise his numbers would have been similar. That being said, Cadillac did bust it.

Well dont forget he also lost 10 on the fumble recovery. Made the nice diving catch. I didnt see him as unsure so much as just kinda surprised at the game speed i guess.

Caddy I wasnt really surprised at all. Everyone's riding minny but theyre gonna take a few games to gel with so many new starters. And their offense kept digging holes allowing TB to gain field position and work the clock. Eventually ronnie will be better imo.
