On a bright warm day in Georgia Saban and his "entire staff" worked out the following players:
  • AM Auburn session - Campbell, Brown, Williams, others.
  • PM Georgia session - Greene, Pollack, Davis, Brown, Gibson, Thurman
No real information availble other than the workouts were "extensive". I would not be surprised to see two players from above on the Dolphins roster in 2005.

Ronnie Brown and David Greene, the offensive backfield of the future.

Ronnie Brown - would be a day one starter

David Greene - developmental QB 3-5 years away.

I read in the Macon paper that one of the Georgia players said Saban spent a lot of time working with the Georgia WR's, fwiw.

Odell Thurman said that.

i like campbell more than green..jmho..
I agree.. I prefer Campbell.

Greene is not 3-5 years away, that is crazy. He is smart, and is a four year starter. Pro offense - he is very similar to Tom Brady, the only reason he is being touted as a third/fourth rounder is because of Brady's success.

I just wonder if we trade down to the 20's if Saban might be wanting to draft Campbell :hmmm:

if they trade down to the 20s, I wouldnt be suprised to see Saban draft "The Freak" (Jones)

In Saban we trust. He knows these guys better than we do.I think its safe to say we will be drafting a couple of SEC players

I rather Campbell or Walters than Greene and I think Saban might be targeting Gibson 6-5 its very nice if he could only bulk up and run faster he could be an elite WR.

Hey chips,
Could you elaborate? What do you mean simular to Tom Brady? In phyisical stature and skill? Because Brady wasn't a 4 year starter in college.

I think Greene could function well on this team the way they are use to a caretaker QB instead of a superstar. With Linehan at the helm, and direction from Saban, he could become a star just by making the right throws, instead of the most impressive ones.

Like always keith...you are right on!!
But if we trade down and pick up a 2nd rd I would love for us to grab maybe Benson and then Matt Jones with the additional pick.
