I've just seen the press conference twice. Saban was really tense, emotional... you could feel his frustration. You could see he's fighting, he's working 24 hours a day. This man cant stand losing, he's a winner. But it is not an easy task to transform a losing team into a consistently winning team.

I liked when he said (very angry voice):
"everyone must go out to win, everybody's got to have the sense of urgency, play with intelligence, got to have discipline and execution... if somebody dont want to change then hes not gonna change, so we'll make play somebody else"
"But we've got to do it with the players we have, there's no other solutions, but i believe in the players we have"

I really like this man, he's got the intensisty, he's got everything to build a successful team... give him all the time he needs

Saban has...

ALL the time he wants and needs, but Mularkeys time is runing out, he must go now. He is midiocre at best, not using anything from the offense or knowing how to use it. GO DOLPHINS!! :dolphins:

I really liked what I saw at his press conference and that is what I was looking for at his press conference.

I have still a little grain of faith in Mularkey, but I would not dislike to see him coach another team

I'm a Saban fan. Houch has got to get this O-line to block and Mularkey is calling some very poor games. However, Saban is the man at the top and it rest's on him to make those things happen. A win against New England would be some FINE medicene for what ails this team at the moment!

Ok but he has got to have faith in his coaches... he cant give up everything

Saban needs to have his team ready to play before week one next season. Its two years in a row where we come out like clowns. We're in the rebuilding phase so its a little forgivable but next year it wont. We need to be as good week one as we are week 16

After the first three games last year, Miami was 2-1 and had beaten two teams that would end up playing in conference championship games. That's not what I would call coming out like clowns.

Unless, of course, you're referring to the 1-6 record that followed that start.

we started off pretty well. There's something wrong with our leadership... because we cannot maintain any intensity throughout the game or the season. Very inconsistent. I blame the players for that.

The problem with what Saban is saying and what you are saying is that it is the truth. About 80% of the people on here don't want to here that. They want to think the fix is quick and easy, that's why you get all the individual bashing on here.
Fact is our team is better this year in quite a few positions. However when you don't play like you are supposed to or make mistakes in execution, you are not going to have success at this level no matter what your talent level is. Yes sometimes one persons play can inspire those around him to play better. But it comes down to everyone on the team doing a better job. Saban and company can draw up the perfect game plan but if the players just go through the motions with no intensity or concentration then what? Well we end up 1-3. The answer is not pretty or popular. The whole team must play better and be more consistent. Sounds easy....... but the truth is this is what separates good teams from great teams, and even mediocre teams from terrible teams.

Possibly, I expect that next year some painful decision will have to be made regarding 2 of our highest paid players zach and jason t.

I'm just saying.

I also expect to see a major turnover at LB and Offensive line, but I fully expect to see the offense clicking since by that point Daunte (barring an injury this year) should be fully recovered and on the same page with his receivers.

Saban is a darn good coach he gets 10 years with this team as far as I'm concerned.

I watched the press conference. Saban thinks that the play calling will get better whenever the players start making plays. He thinks that the players are putting themsleves in tough situations to overcome, so it doesn't matter what you call. The obstacles to overcome are too great after they shoot themselves in the feet with penalties, dropped passes, missed blocks, bad gap choices, etc.

I just rewatched it, in the first 5 minutes he built up and almost lost it, gotta luv him.

he also uses the Management technique of Positive , Negative, Positive very often.

Big fan of this Guy I really like him.

i would tend to agree.. we have had a serious field general since 13.. we need a guy who really knows how to take control.
