Saban is still a good coach in my opinion. He did a good job in his first season but i think he kind of strayed from what he was trying to do. We need to back to building this team through the draft and bringing in younger cheaper role-playing type of players. Whoever thinks that Saban is a god is just putting up some high expectations. Everyone is going to make mistakes and it's not like he's been coaching in the NFL before. Gibbs, Parcells, Belicheck, Coughlin they all had to start somewhere and this is part of Saban's growth as an NFL coach.

Saban is one of the best things to happen to this franchise in many years. But he's not done a good job so far this season. At least in terms of putting talent on the field. Because this secondary, which we KNEW was going to be a problem, has gotten worse, and the offensive line too has gotten worse. This is a playoff caliber team playing 500. football. And thats what it will be like all season.

He's a genius. He has realized after the Buffalo game that this current bunch is not going to get him anywhere. That includes DC. So now he's orchestrating a total collapse so that he can draft a true franchise QB (Brady Quinn) and then build his defense with faster, younger players.
Actually, I posted this to be sarcastic, but after thinking about it, I don't think it's to far off base.
