Saban looks for Dolphins to improve

Same chit different week, I quit reading after this part:

"Outside of Jason Taylor, every player on that team could be upgraded," Landry said. "The Patriots obviously have more (talent), but so do the Jets and the Bills. It's not a good situation

patriots are in current talks with ashante. he'll probably be signed to an extension before the season is out but man if we get briggs or adalius thomas, steinbach and cj or brohm I'll be one happy finfan

This is what was most interesting part of the article for me anyway:

The Dolphins could save around $8 million more by releasing or trading wide receiver Marty Booker, guards Jeno James and Bennie Anderson and kicker Olindo Mare. Miami also could part with linebacker Zach Thomas, 33, who is scheduled to make $5.65 million next season, but that appears unlikely. He probably would restructure his contract, but the Dolphins are thin at linebacker and they might not find cheaper alternatives in free agency.

Intriguing free agents could include Indianapolis defensive end Dwight Freeney; Arizona left tackle Leonard Davis; Cincinnati guard Eric Steinbach; Buffalo cornerback Nate Clements; linebackers Lance Briggs (Chicago), Cato June (Indianapolis) and Adalius Thomas (Baltimore); and safeties Michael Lewis (Philadelphia) and Deon Grant (Jacksonville).

Marty (can't stand on my feet) Booker, James, Mare, and Anderson all should go - if that is true - 8 mil could be much better spent. Mare put himself on the line when he refused a pay cut in the offseason. He hasn't played up to his salary and is definitely overpaid. I like ZT but he is not worth 5.65mil - too small IMO to play MLB. If he would restructure that would be great. What is the cap hit if he or JT left?

The big name FA's are always too pricey. Clements would be great but will be way too much $$. We could use an OLB in a big way but for how much? No way would I pick up another FA safety. We have Bell and Allen - give them a shot. Davis is a FAT waste of space - he got abused against GB this week - WAY TOO SLOW. No way Freeney is free. You couldn't have him and JT - too similar.

i didn't even read this because i expected the same "we've improved in alot of areas from the past week" that he gives every single week
fact is: we've done nothing but get worse
by the way things are going they won't improve much if at all
